I thought we could have a thread for latest news. MN did say they didn't mind one or two threads. And no rules except stick to MN guidelines. It's Meghans birthday today I just read. And the Queen has wished her a very happy birthday on the royal Instagram page according to that popular Oracle the DM.

I always thought the stories of the diary M was rumoured to be keeping were fanciful but it is difficult to see where else the wealth of details on what she saw, heard, said, did and felt could have come from.

I agree totally. I used to think it was just people were making up stories about Meghan because she was a WOC. However it turns out it’s all true.

I wonder whether Meghan allowed a middle 'man' (close confidante) to read her diaries then be the person who passed the information on. This would allow them to claim they did not speak to the authors yet be the source of the information.

I would like clarity on that and think the fact that M&H have not made a public statement about the book speaks volumes of their private support of it. (If it was me I would personally at least be commenting on the embarrassingly low brow quality of the writing!)

Also I think the reason the book has US standard English shows they are trying to gain sympathy in the US where they've chosen to live. They've washed their hands of the UK but need the support of the US and the celebrities based there.

I did laugh at the thought of Prince Charles calling Meghan ' sassy '! Not a word I can imagine him using about anyone to be honest.
She has had history in the past of cutting people out of her life and now she had taken her husband with her it seems. She probably just kept on at him about all the ' slights ' against her ( real or imagined ) and he just took her side on everything rather than try to make her see the other persons point of view about their behavior.
Both entitled and selfish individuals who think that the sun and moon should revolve around them I bet, plenty of people are like it though I'm afraid and why people end up falling out so much , just not in the limelight as they have!

I wonder if it painted H bad so that in 5yrs time she can divorce him for "irreconcilable differences" and no one would blame her (he's hot headed and difficult to live with) and then she can go back to being a lifestyle blogger, which is probably a career that fully suits her.
I dont dislike the couple at all, in fact I would actually put myself in the class of supporter because I really do wish them well. I just think the way they have behaved this year has been atrocious and embarrassing to the RF, and MM has massively misjudged what life as wife of a Prince would actually be like. Especially when the Prince is the "spare" not the heir

I remember at The Commonwealth Service - Meghan giving Charles a massive, charming smile and then it shrinking when she looked at Camilla or anyone else. They've clearly got Charles over a barrel. Everyone else, not so much.

The more pages are leaked, the more I think the RF will be glad they left so quickly. Imagine how many more personal details and security information could have been leaked if they had stayed longer.

I wonder why the book, whilst addressing so many other rumours and stories in the media, didn’t delve into the articles about H&M not being invited to one of the RF holiday gatherings because of the fact they weren’t trusted due to keeping a diary.

We need a new thread...

It’s a shame these threads stop at 40 pages. Wouldn’t it be better for all (and easier to monitor) if the thread ran and ran ad infinitum?
