She definitely suits the jeans and blazers!

I'm not bickering. I'm just pointing out some of the things said about H&M that has been written on here

In the youtube video LOVE Kate's dress at the red carpet event. And William had hair! Quite a few years ago must be.

I’ll raise you this.

I do like the relaxed look, but I am in Ascot mood today. First day of Royal Ascot and no visitors are allowed Sad

Roussette · 16/06/2020 18:56

I do prefer Meghan's style... only because I think Kate has to be a bit more restrained in what she wears, and the pussy bows A line floaty dresses are a bit meh. Whereas Meghan's style can be a bit more interesting.

Having said that, I think Kate looks fabulous in a long dress like the one in that youtube.

I think it might be because the happy thread is so quiet, that’s why this one is getting picked apart.

Never mind. Apologies for engaging.

I enjoy lurking on the royal S&B threads so welcome the style chat.

www.harpersbazaar.com/uk/fashion/style-files/news/g37440/meghan-markle-style-pictures/?slide=91 I actually think that trousers are her main style to go to. She looks amazing in these.

Love the Ascot outfits!

I always think the general dress code for royal women is wedding guest and that tends to suit Kate's figure.

Meghan looks way better in trousers - her black trouser suit was one of her best looks I think.

Both have had some great looks though. It does of course help that they are both pretty gorgeous and have great figures. But I am sure it was their minds that attracted Harry and William to them Wink

www.harpersbazaar.com/uk/fashion/style-files/news/g37440/meghan-markle-style-pictures/?slide=110 See I think this style of dress is what suits her most, she should steer away from the Kate and royal "look"

Kate

I like the longer dresses, but I didn’t really like the blue and the white long dresses which are everywhere online

mrscampbellblackagain · 16/06/2020 19:07

I think both Kate and Meghan look great in short skirts but I guess they are not royal appropriate.

Meghan looked great the day before her wedding in her navy mouret. And her Stella evening wedding dress was her best look ever! I bought the short black version of that dress as loved it so much. And the aquamarine ring and cartier braclet which was a gift from Charles. Why didn't my in laws buy me a cartier bracelet!!

Sorry, I didn't realise there were rules and you could only post on this thread if you feel way. Please can you tell me the rules for this thread.

Off topic but Charles and CAmilla were on the news, nice to see them looking so well.

MoreHippoThanPenguin · 16/06/2020 19:08

Oh no Rousette, I love the long floaty dresses. I agree that Meghan is better suited to a more casual look, but did you see the ascot picture of her in the white outfit with blue details and gorgeous hat?

MoreHippoThanPenguin · 16/06/2020 19:11

callmeadoctor, MM looks great in some of the pictures you posted, but I am not sure about the shiny great cape dress. But I am not very fashion forward....

Oldbutstillgotit · 16/06/2020 19:13

I loved M’s 2018 Ascot outfit - a bit Audrey Hepburn - she suited the hat .

MoreHippoThanPenguin · 16/06/2020 19:17

oldbutstillgotit, her 2018 outfit was amazing, wasn’t it? You are right, very Audrey Hepburn Smile.

I really love watching the Ascot outfits. And the Queen always looks so timeless and gorgeous.

Sorry for spamming the thread with Ascot pictures Blush. I was supposed to have been there today... and I have had two Pimm’s...Blush

Roussette · 16/06/2020 19:19

MoreHippo Love the long ones, floaty or otherwise. It's just the A line below knee length type ones that just look a bit safe and boring to me!

Samcro · 16/06/2020 19:20

Ooh Kates dress is lovely.

MissEliza · 16/06/2020 19:20

I think MM definitely does casual wear better than formal. I think if she'd had a few more years in the job, she'd have found the right look for formal occasions. She did waste a lot of money on some real stinkers though.
