I didn't see them, but no that isn't nice.
I said that. But on a thread that is full of made up stuff about another woman it shrieks double standards.

Roussette · 13/06/2020 16:21

I thought upskirting (excuse my ignorance) was men deliberately holding their phones down low to take pics up womens skirts? Vile.

The wind blowing someone's skirt up is upskirting too?
Genuine question

Sousone · 13/06/2020 16:25

A photo taken up a skirt after the wind has blown it has the same result as the definition of upskirting you provided.

But both you and Samcro are fully aware of these things.

Roussette · 13/06/2020 16:30

I'm not actually. As I said , it was a genuine question. I thought upskirting was a deliberate act by someone.

Unfortunately the press just keep clicking and you get caught out with a frown, a grimace, a skirt blowing up, a tongue out... whatever. Unluckily for Kate this time.

Samcro · 13/06/2020 16:34

No , I thought up skirting was when a perve took a picture up a woman's skirt with out her knowledge.
myrtleWilson · 13/06/2020 16:42

Sousoune is pointing out that taking and publishing (and sharing) a photo of body exposed by windblown skirt has the same outcome Samcro - an individual who did not intend for their body to be seen, has it shared at scale with no say in the matter.

The outcome is the same.

Roussette · 13/06/2020 16:45

OK.

Unpleasant thing to happen and agree on same outcome, yes.

Kate has probably given in and has her dresses with weights in the hems now. She does tend to wear maybe more A line that pencil skirt style so it would be susceptible to the wind

@LightasLife

Its just made up gossip.

It"s not made up. They were asked to leave, that is clear. The reason why is unclear. It could be innocent, it may be something that upset or angered Charles. That, we don't know and likely never will. As for gossip, of course it's gossip. So are most of the posts on the "positive" thread. You have no objection to those, though, do you?

It’s not clear at all Confused
catinb0oots · 13/06/2020 17:15

I must say, the queen looked nice today.

Viviennemary · 13/06/2020 17:29

How is it clear. What happened?

Halo84 · 13/06/2020 17:55

So outrage aat someone doing something that isn't deemed nice about Kate.
On a thread where there is a lot of made up stuff about Meghan.
Double standards much.

When someone posts photos of Meghan’s naked ass, taken without her consent, you’ll have an equivalency. Until then, your faux outrage is just that.

MissEliza · 13/06/2020 17:59

It was lovely to see the Queen today. I think that may be the last time this year. Ironically the pandemic may have done Charles a favour as he will start to do more of the monarch's roles and people will become more used to the idea. I think a lot of people currently imagine the Queen will go on forever.

FruitPastillesaregood · 13/06/2020 18:34

I’d someone had posted pictures of Meghan’s bare bottom the response would burn up the internet.

No, the objection was about posting the photographs. Discussing that it happened is completely different.
mrscampbellblackagain · 13/06/2020 18:37

The lower orders of the press try to upskirt all female celebs, when they get in and out of cars, when the wind blows their skirt up etc.

Basically, did Kate lift her skirt up deliberately and ask the press to photograph her in her knickers? Surprised I have to explain that to be honest.

AnnieCartwright · 13/06/2020 18:38

@lifestooshort123

Not RTFT but interesting how Jessica Mulrooney has exposed herself to be a nasty person. I suspect Meghan will distance herself. According to online news reports, MM has said she will distance herself 'publicly' from JM. So behind closed doors everything carries on as normal. I agree that JM is probably one of the friends behind the leaked letter so MM needs to be careful how she handles her in case of a backlash. All of a sudden living in the RF must look safer and less stressful to H&M. MM delivered a moving speech from the heart, I was impressed.
Is that the one that was purported to be from a Grays Anatomy script?
mrscampbellblackagain · 13/06/2020 18:38

It is also possible to think Meghan has had to deal with some crap from the press and that Kate has as well and Camilla and Margaret back in the day.

And this is what Charlotte has to look forward to as well.

mrscampbellblackagain · 13/06/2020 18:40

I think the JM story puts MM in a really difficult position. I suspect JM is fully appreciative of the fact and they will continue their friendship in private.

Sousone · 13/06/2020 18:45

Surprised I have to explain that to be honest.

You shouldn’t have to.

After reading this thread through I see certain posters are determined to needle away at every post. I responded in good faith but I certainly won’t waste my time doing that again.

And this is what Charlotte has to look forward to as well.

Gosh what a sad thought.

catinb0oots · 13/06/2020 19:26

Charlotte will probably be okay because she's a blood royal.

It will be George and Louis' wives

Oldbutstillgotit · 13/06/2020 19:34

I don’t know about that @ catinb0oots. Beatrice and Eugenie are blood princesses and look what they have had to put up with !

mrscampbellblackagain · 13/06/2020 19:35

I think we can all agree that women in the RF get treated very poorly especially compared to the men.

Samcro · 13/06/2020 19:37

100%
catinb0oots · 13/06/2020 21:29

Oh yes I forgot about the York girls Sad

SenecaFallsRedux · 13/06/2020 21:31

I suppose we can hope that the press and society at large will have evolved in their treatment of women in 20 years' time. I am, however, not optimistic.
