Chocolateyasfuck I've seen posters occasionally post on the wrong thread before, but have you posted on the wrong forum?

Institutkarite · 23/05/2020 10:40

@ChocolatelyAsFuck
I've reported your shitty goady post.
I'm another one that rarely comments but reads all of these. I only remember one of those things being discussed.

Allflightscancelled · 23/05/2020 10:43

I reported it too.

Slapdasherie · 23/05/2020 10:45

It doesn’t make sense that MM hit C, as the story was that MM made DoC cry, and I can’t imagine her crying over that. Incandescently angry, sure, but not tears.
It makes more sense that MM was snide and unpleasant in a fairly passive way, as someone said that is more her ‘style’, and also more likely to have resulted in DoC crying.

YgritteSnow · 23/05/2020 10:58

I don't believe for a moment she slapped Charlotte. I think there was a bridezilla argument at the fitting which probably went a bit too far and they weren't able to move past it as there was resentment already in place. I believe the main drive for the break away was Meghan being unable to tolerate a life where she would only ever be a minor player in the ensemble and Kate would always take precedence. To be fair I imagine that would be very difficult for an ambitious kind of person who was used to being the one everyone was looking at and paying attention to most of the time. I think you can see this resentment in the videos when she's with Harry too and he is clearly the one everyone is interested in so she nudges herself forward and interrupts his convos.

I never saw her look happier than after the break had been made and they were doing their last official visits. He looked shell shocked, she was positively beaming.

YgritteSnow · 23/05/2020 10:59

I remember at the commonwealth service too, she looked so serene while everyone else, mostly her husband, looked tense and distant.

7Worfs · 23/05/2020 11:10

I wouldn’t describe MM as serene. She has that rictus grin I have when I’m about to enter a battle situation at work and I can’t afford to show weakness or being affected in any way.

MrsJoshNavidi · 23/05/2020 11:10

.

ajandjjmum · 23/05/2020 11:10

I think Kate is the opposite of a mean girl - wasn't she bullied at her first secondary school, which was shy she moved to Marlborough? Thank God she has a mother (and family) who were strong and helped her get over it and grow a backbone of steel.

Meghan must know how much Harry thought of Kate - he would not have hidden how much he loved his SIL when they first met, and how happy she made William. Not in a romantic way, but I would imagine that Meghan would have seen her as competition.

ajandjjmum · 23/05/2020 11:12

*why

7Worfs · 23/05/2020 11:12

In fact I haven’t seen serenity in any royal.

The closest is probably Pippa M. She looks chill and happy quite often.

YgritteSnow · 23/05/2020 11:15

I'm still going with serene Smile

Harry’s face in that photo Shock

YgritteSnow · 23/05/2020 11:18

And William...

Teddy1970 · 23/05/2020 11:21

It looks more like a smug smile to me, if you look at them when they're all seated MM is the only one smiling, all the others have serious faces.

7Worfs · 23/05/2020 11:21

William makes that face often, possibly something trained for certain situations.

Kate’s face is very deliberate. She’s sending a message.

CoffeeDay · 23/05/2020 11:28

The only realistic scenario I could believe is that Meghan simply grabbed Charlotte to prevent her from falling over/spilling something/smearing something. Dress fittings (pins, scissors, expensive fabric, long waiting times, measuring, tripping hazards) and toddlers are clearly a disastrous mix. It's totally reasonable that Meghan was alarmed about Charlotte hurting herself or ruining something, or both, and made a sharp exclamation at the same time. This could easily be twisted into "slapping" by staff or gossip, especially if Kate was clearly upset afterwards.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 23/05/2020 11:30

I thought the US didn’t have tabloids ? They seem to be worse than British ones

They have them, but they're not as mainstream as in the UK. Here, the invented rubbish gets into widely read press, whereas in the US it's mostly kept for the sort of rags you see at store checkouts

Which is annoying, because when locals hear a British accent it often leads to "Look at this!! Is it true?" ... as if I'd know Confused

Teddy1970 · 23/05/2020 11:41

Either way Puzzled there's still articles printed about them, MM made out that there would be no negative articles written about them at all, when I'm fact the most ridiculous and absurd ones have come from US publications.

Teddy1970 · 23/05/2020 11:43

in fact bloody auto correct!

HarryDaylight · 23/05/2020 11:48

Does anyone know where the rumour that there was some form of conflict at Charlotte's bridesmaid dress fitting originated?

There must have been half a dozen people there - the designer, gownmakers, dressers, nannies, palace staff and more who witnessed it.

7Worfs · 23/05/2020 11:48

It’s her ingenue act. Like when she said she didn’t know that much about who Harry is etc

CathyorClaire · 23/05/2020 11:52

That article is very, very interesting. Thanks, TimeLady

Fancy the millions not rolling in as they expected. Who'd have thought?

MissEliza · 23/05/2020 11:57

I don't think Kate is a mean girl or a bully but she's a lot tougher than people think. She would have had to be to survive in those circles - remember the 'doors to manual' comments. Tara PT said during the period when Will and Kate broke up, a lot of people were vile to her but she put on a brave face.

SunbathingDragon · 23/05/2020 12:08

I don't think Kate is a mean girl or a bully but she's a lot tougher than people think.

I agree. In general reports about her say she is very well mannered and pleasant, although I’ve heard she is able to argue and hold her own with William. To marry the heir to the throne and thrive as his/her wife, you have to have an element of steel to you. That doesn’t make her unlikeable, and people like that can still be really kind and nice, but I believe Kate must be very confident and secure in herself, even if she was shy and bullied as a child.
