One of their neighbours criticisms in TimeLady's attachment is them not picking up their dogs' poo, and I can believe it due to the dog walking pictures in Canada. Archie was in the sling across M's front and he was too young to stand - there's no way M could've bent down to deal with it with him positioned like that, with two dogs on leads. Having had a toddler walk through dog poo once it's one of my absolute pet hates Angry.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 23/05/2020 08:40

Quite Old

But that article is scathing thanks for sharing Time

Re the thing with Charlotte, I think something did happen as too many things being said but damned if I know what!

FannyCann · 23/05/2020 09:01

Isn't failing to pick up dog poo an offence?
I suppose it's a job that falls to the hapless detectives though I'm sure they could argue that they must remain ALERT at all times and can't risk the momentary lapse whilst they are occupied juggling Poo bags. Wink

Winterlife · 23/05/2020 09:04

It is an offence in most Canadian cities, and there is a bylaw where H&M stayed. It’s also an offence in Los Angeles.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 23/05/2020 09:05

Very interesting article, Time, especially as much is made of the Sussexes' friendship with the Clooneys.

KayakingOnDown · 23/05/2020 09:22

They both seem to have thought that who they were was more important than what they were.

I don't think it's fair to tar Diana and Meghan with the same brush here. Princess Diana had a strong sense of both public duty and what her role involved. She stuck it out. Even if her weekends were miserable in a loveless and failing marriage, she did her duty on weekdays. She gritted her teeth and went on foreign tours when she felt utterly miserable. She didn't go to a developing country and upstage the charities and tour by moaning in front of a camera that people were being mean to her (even if she had far more reason to).

Diana had grit and she was loyal to the family.

It's an insult to compare her and Meghan.

DateLoaf · 23/05/2020 09:33

That national theatre visit pic minus wedding rings.. MM having her hands splayed out on her coat sends a clear message.

SunbathingDragon · 23/05/2020 09:40

With all these posts about smacking and spanking, I would imagine this thread will be pulled soon. The only other thing I’d mention is that smacking could have been a not very hard tap on the hands as grubby fingers were edging towards MM’s dress or similar and the shock could have made PC cry even if the action itself didn’t cause any discomfort or harm. Or it could all be made up. Who knows! There have been multiple reports of MM falling out with DoC/PC at the dress fitting for me to believe something happened even if it was far more innocuous and just involved a comment.

I know someone who has met MM back when they were both working In Canada and MM was fairly unknown (she was on Suits). Her only comment was that MM was rude and not a nice person.

ButteryPuffin · 23/05/2020 09:53

You'd have to be immensely naive not to think of the message sent by going out without your rings on in that scenario. That was a warning all right.

We'll never know the truth of the incident at the dress fitting. But as pp have said, M would have known how badly the most extreme version of that would go down, and she's not that stupid.

IloveParmaViolets · 23/05/2020 09:54

Let's not speculate about the alleged smacking incident, it might get the thread deleted. Let's just stick to known facts.

Chocolateasfuck I haven't read any of that on here so I don't know which thread you've been reading!

Mariposa123 · 23/05/2020 10:03

@ChocolatelyAsFuck I’ve only seen one of those rumours you mentioned on these threads. The rest I hadn’t heard of at all, so not sure what you’ve been reading that the rest of us haven’t!

Mariposa123 · 23/05/2020 10:04

Snap @mooching!

ArchePenguin · 23/05/2020 10:04

My take on it is this:

Charlotte clearly has had her moments (cue picture of her sitting down on the tarmac in a sulk, the line “You’re not coming” to the photographers at Louis’s christening).

I suspect that Charlotte was being less than cooperative in the way that two year olds are - Terrible Twos and all that - the nanny was at home with George and Louis, Kate was exhausted, hormonal didn’t need any more frustration.

And then MM snaps and says something along the lines of (pure speculation) Charlotte stop messing about FGS Kate can’t you control your own child?

Boom.

HarryDaylight · 23/05/2020 10:05

I've never read anything on MN about sex tapes or fancy dress mean girls.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 23/05/2020 10:07

Rubbish Chocolate don’t think I’ve seen that on MN.

ButteryPuffin · 23/05/2020 10:09

@ChocolatelyAsFuck Bullshit. Never read any of that on here.

Slapdasherie · 23/05/2020 10:11

It’s almost as if Chocolatey is trying to get the thread deleted.

HarryDaylight · 23/05/2020 10:13

Whatever their motivation, there was no need to be so explicit. I don't believe that kind of rubbish.

FannyCann · 23/05/2020 10:25

I would think that is the most likely scenario Arche

Allflightscancelled · 23/05/2020 10:28

@ChocolatelyAsFuck I've read all of these threads (though don't post much, it's true) and not seen ANY of those scurrilous stories you've very graphically mentioned. Have you made them up to get the thread pulled?

7Worfs · 23/05/2020 10:32

Backing up a bit, that gif of Megs looking at Kate and smirking at H is appalling. Shock

I cannot believe she did it knowing there are cameras.
Shows such contempt and disrespect towards a more senior royal.
And because it’s so conspiratorial, it’s clear Kate has been discussed previously. I bet it’s something petty about hats or clothes, as the smirk communicates some sort of confirmation.

GlorianaCervixia · 23/05/2020 10:34

I would believe Meghan was rude to staff or to Kate, I wouldn’t believe any stories about smacking. I’ve seen many stories about Harry’s rudeness as well, perhaps that’s something they have in common?

I’ve never heard stories about Kate being a mean girl. She’s been in the public eye a long time now. I think if that was true there’d be more written about it.
