Selling every aspect of their life (can’t pick and choose there - people want personal details, and at-home photos with the baby, plus ‘royal gossip’). U.K. - not so much and I can’t imagine Harry wanting to have people discussing his brand of underpants and whether he has bran for breakfast.

Can someone better informed explain the Doria relationship to me? I had thought that megs lived with her dad through her teens? You can surely be suggesting that she abandoned Doria for the lottery winner and now is back with her instead of dad because??? Because why? Indeed it looked bad to have only one family member at the wedding and to have had none would have been really weird, but why is Doria back in favour now? Yoga? Sake of appearances?

bluebell I agree. Doria knows Megs and manages the relationship by simply participating as needed and keeping to herself.

Whilst that was, in a technical sense, a fabulous picture (and my nephew had a very similar one taken at his wedding last Autumn, so maybe it's a current trend), it's not exactly "royal," is it? Duty and commitment are the buzzwords, not fucking Hollywood dazzle.

Using "Finding Freedom" to describe leaving a life of unimaginable luxury for another life of unimaginable luxury is mind-bogglingly tone deaf, especially in the middle of a deadly pandemic and the entire world on the brink of recession.

I'm all for her relaunching The Tig. I won't have to read it, but MM fans will no doubt subscribe and buy the sponsors' products and it will be a great financial success for her. I don't begrudge her that, she is a hard worker if nothing else. They may even do it as a joint project. Actually I think this is quite likely.

At which point they may become less desperate for media attention and we might all get a rest from them.
