Ooops, sorry. I thought the image hadn't posted.

'old scores' blimey, she was only in the royal family a few months - how many can there be? Unless this is going waaaaay back...

'Becky Jones - I remember you in 1st grade stealing the chocolate bar from my mickey mouse lunchbox'
'Jane Smith - you didn't deserve to get that Wendy's commercial in 1986 - my freckles were much better'
'Johnny James - I did not pee my pants in kindergarten, and I do not have cooties'

thisenglishlife · 05/05/2020 14:39

What old scores? What are you referring to @Lordfrontpaw the book? An interview?

Lordfrontpaw · 05/05/2020 14:44

The newspaper spread above my post. It's there in print so it must be true...

thisenglishlife · 05/05/2020 14:56

Thanks

MissHoskins · 05/05/2020 14:59

I've just looked on Amazon, the book is not available for order anymore, it was available to pre-order on Sunday but not now.
I think there could be something going on in the background.

RosesandIris · 05/05/2020 15:03

I wonder if HM has been on the blower. Or her lawyers. If the RF let this go unchallenged they’re being very weak.

It is when I just looked now, I added it to basket for order not that I'll buy it

The title Finding Freedom, aside from the Nelson Mandela overtones, is in shockingly poor taste.

I mean, if it was a Saudi princess, yes, fair enough. They are genuinely trapped, abused, imprisoned, persecuted.

There are many people who are truly desperate for freedom: people in sex slavery, girls captured by Boko Haram, those trying to escape from cults etc.

Then Meghan and Harry have the gall to talk about 'finding freedom.' It's an outrageous, staggering statement of narcissism, ignorance and hubris.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/05/2020 15:10

Oh no! They're not coming back here? PLEASE!

My heart sank when I read this.

KayakingOnDown · 05/05/2020 15:10

Also, it's a massive, massive two fingers up to the royal family.

Lordfrontpaw · 05/05/2020 15:11

Nah, just the one.

EthelMayFergus · 05/05/2020 15:12

Gosh, that picture of her looking at the queen Shock.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 05/05/2020 15:14

Old scores?

Some couples bring the best out in each other and some don’t. No guesses for which category I think the Sussexes come under. Such a shame as they could have done some great work had they been less thin skinned where the press was concerned.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/05/2020 15:16

It's there, flagged "best seller". Available to pre-order at the hardback price of £20, or £9.99 on Kindle and delivered to your device on 11 August. People who hesitated to buy at the discounted launch price must be kicking themselves...

thisenglishlife · 05/05/2020 15:17

I doubt they'll be anything unpleasant said about individual members of the BRF in the book

KayakingOnDown · 05/05/2020 15:20

The title alone is a calculated insult to the royal family. It says all that has to be said.

7Worfs · 05/05/2020 15:36

Yep.
Though I’m sure there are posters who would claim otherwise.

WinnieTheW0rm · 05/05/2020 15:42

I've just been sad enough to have a look to check Amazon, and I've got the "This title is not currently available to purchase" message.

I'm in UK - if that makes any difference.

BarleylemonPenguin · 05/05/2020 15:47

Royal family exerting their influence, perhaps?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/05/2020 15:50

It's not available to purchase but it is to pre-order.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 05/05/2020 15:51

I’ve just checked Blush it’s available for pre order for me. Not going to though Grin

MissHoskins · 05/05/2020 15:52

If I look on amazon.com it's there. It's still not available on Amazon.co.uk
I'm not in the U.K. but the U.K. is my home, I'm just not there, I'm in another European country.
