I’m shocked at the 20 million figure for security costs . Surely no one needs that much security worth that much😱. So all the celebs and famous people pay that much? Then what’s their net worth?

Meghan could support women via Camilla’s DV work. She could support Kate with her early years work.

But this goes to the very heart of the matter doesn’t it? Meghan can’t countenance being anyone’s support. She wants the leading role in everything she does.

I watched the Commonwealth service and at one point everyone around and behind Meghan was looking solemn and serious, not just the royals but three or four rows behind them. Meghan was grinning widely like a crazy person, and I remember wondering what on earth she was smiling for. So it turns out she was just gurning at the cameras. What an idiot.

I wouldn't worry, Alexa - I'd say the chances of Meghan ever being prepared to settle back in the UK are less than zero, so there'll be no need for her to support Camilla or anyone else

Notice not just the grin but her body language in contrast to everyone else’s - sitting upright & poised, permanently ‘on’ for the cameras. This isn’t someone who was reacting naturally and letting the speech or performance at the time move her or make her think. It is not the actions of someone being genuine. Nor is it the actions of someone being respectful.

Agree @wufti MM wanted to be equal in all things to W&K if not bigger. Protocol constantly reminded her that that wasn’t the case. This was the mother of all popularity contests to her.

She wanted to be equal to The Queen. After all, they very graciously planned to ‘collaborate’ with her didn’t they?

I remember the Queen taking Meghan on an engagement with her just after H&M married and Meghan shoving her way into the royal car ahead of the Queen. You wouldn’t do that to a very elderly woman even if she wasn’t the Queen would you? Basic courtesy would make you stand back. She has no clue. It’s Meghan comes first and that’s all that matters to her.

Because they may have been doing that thing whereby they pick out one face in the audience and start speaking directly at them.
Which coujd have been Meg? She could have thought this was encouraging with the smile, which I agree looks mad but may have been inadvertent. And also, Harry's bitchy resting face is not a great look. I'd have nudged him too.

I'm going to cut her some slack on that one, I think she wasn't sure of the protocol. The Queen always arrives and leaves last so maybe she thought she was supposed to get in the car first. It was an awkward moment though.

I hadn't seen that. Just looked it up. So awkward. She basically forced the queen into letting her get in first!
