I've read reports that there was a standing ovation last night. But then I read something else that said they were actually standing for military protocol.
Can anyone shed any light?

If she didn’t know a major detail about an engagement then she needs to speak to her staff. Assuming she wasn’t told rather than didn’t listen

I hope that Kate's purchases from Waterstones included a couple of books for Archie - a little present from his cousins.

Apparently the photo of them in the car last night was photoshopped to make Meghan look bad (according to someone on the thread of people who are happy for H & M)

We all know how many shots are taken of famous people and a split second doesn't necessarily indicate anything like the narrative commentators attach to it, but it looks like a genuine photo.

Harry looks tired actually. MM just looks normal.
The scene between MM and the head boy at the Essex school was rather endearing. He seems quite a charmer and made MM seem almost likeable.

I’d love to know how that was photoshopped from a technical point of view.

That photo endears me to get more actually. She got caught mid-expression or mid-speech or mid-movement.

It means hurrah she has a normal range of expressions and thoughts.

It also probably means the rictus grin is very much an act she puts on. Which again, is probably quite normal. But overall I do think she’s a bit of fakety faker.

I thought that, MissEliza. It was a rare moment when I thought she actually did come across quite genuinely. Mind you she was being told she was beautiful by a handsome young man, it would be hard not to let your guard down and enjoy that compliment!

Agreed Fleas it was a cute & natural moment .
I wish the headline grabber could have been on non-appearance-based female attributes though as it was an IW week event. I know both MM and the boy went on to say similar but still.

They're getting absolutely trashed on their most recent insta post 😕 surely they must read some of the comments, or at least their PR team do, so how do they continue to be so tone deaf??

I don't do insta, mosthappy. What are people griping about?

I just had a look at their Insta. The majority of critical posts are about two things.

Firstly, they’ve only published photos of themselves and not of the other royals or of the participants, unlike the other royal Instagram accounts.

Secondly, they were only appointed the President & VP of the Commonwealth Trust roles in 2018 and so they’ve hardly been “passionately” committed to the Trust for “many years”.

Both those points seem fair comment to me.
