MM's choice of clothing feels a bi different recently. For example, I'm sure she's never worn a 'high street' brand before.

I think she did wear an M and S jumper in the very early days.

I really like her white Top Shop blouse. Not for rainy London in March mind, but then I have no option but to wear a coat and lug my own brolly.
She looked fresh and pretty in it.

I just read the Jan Moir article - she makes some good points, especially about the enthusiastic welcome.

I reported my own post about Spoke as I thought I was below the belt but I also asked MN to look at Spokes post. So it wasn’t a fan of MM. As I’m no particular fan of her or Harry even though I was at the start.

Sorry I wasn’t around when the deletions were done & I wasn’t sure whether Spokes would be deleted anyway (obviously knew mine would be). I would have said so straight away to stop the accusations.

Question posed by my 9yo (royalty is one of his obsessions) today “Do you think it was actually Harry that hated Camilla and wasn’t happy about his dad getting married, rather than William?”

I don’t remember the rumour that William secretly wasn’t happy, but if he’s mentioned it then it must have existed at some point

I wonder if people maybe did focus a bit on William’s closeness to his mum, and her confiding in him, and missed Harry’s ever increasing anger over the situation

Well I’d hope with time passing this issue resolved itself.
Speaking from experience, after a time you just want to see your ageing parent with a good companion.

Just read the DM piece about Camilla's event and it made me feel rather sad for her, and for the event she was supporting and the cause. Yes, I know it's the DM but they are very often right after the fact.

I've always thought Camilla a good egg, and if she and C had married back in the day perhaps things would have been very different.

lyra who knows? They have always seemed to get on in public but then I guess they have to. It must be very difficult to have your beloved mother die, and then your father marry the "third person in the marriage". OTH, there was a pretty big gap, and plenty of people seem to cope quite well with their parents having serial marriages (as opposed to just two).

Says it all that she ignored the palaces request to delay the pics going out. On so many levels. In the video footage she looks so fake - unlike Harry - the sort of expression you'd expect if you knew people were watching/filming/taking pics of you. I really hope that they do go away and remain private. But I don't think that is likely.

In the video footage she looks so fake. Yep, once the scales fall from your eyes it's very difficult to see anything as sincere. Everything looks contrived - her reaction to the proposal was cringe worthy and not a good demonstration of acting ability.

TBH I'd have thought them both pretty unusual young men if they'd been entirely relaxed about their DF marrying "the other woman"

As yolo said they've got little choice but to put a good face on it in public, but what goes on behind closed doors is anyone's guess (though from William's comment about aiming for him to spend more time with the grandkids it seems he's not especially close to them)

A good egg? Are you actually serious? She and Charles treated Diana and the boys terribly - by no stretch of the imagination is she a “good egg”.

On a more positive note, Meghan looks incredible tonight. That red dress is to die for. She’s really upped her game in the style stakes IMO.

Yes she looks gorgeous agreed. Although I don't agree with the red shoes.

It's reminiscent of the dress she wore in Morocco.
