Let’s strive to keep on topic and not engage with posts designed to disrupt.

@Encyclo you credit them with intelligence! Look at their web statement. Talk about jaw dropping.

‘just call me Meghan’

Said no one ever....

Cohle · 26/02/2020 22:41

Presuming there has been no direct fall out with Beatrice and family, then I think H&M should go to the wedding. They are family. If they just turn up as guests, don't do any announcements or social media posts on that day or just before/after, then they can't be accused of trying to upstage them surely. It will be far worse if they don't go.

To be fair, all Meghan had to do was wear her coat a certain way to be accused of trying to upstage Eugenie.

I think they're pretty screwed either way with the wedding.

NumbersStation · 26/02/2020 22:48

I get that a pregnancy is a happy occasion. But to do it at a wedding and have your strategic coat opening is a bit on the low side.

I’m sure everyone was delighted but to take the attention off the bride is a bit mean and a lot me me me.

It was not a slip of the coat or tongue.

Froq · 26/02/2020 22:50

To be fair, had I just got married and knew the press were mumbling away awaiting to announce a pregnancy, the last thing I’d do is wear a coat that suggested I was hiding a bump, when I didn’t even have one to hide, at a wedding where I could easily get away with a loose fitting dress.

NumbersStation · 26/02/2020 22:53

True that. A lovely sunshiney day and a floaty frock would have hidden anything.

I should know. I have a floaty frock that covers the spacehopper sized menopausal belly roll I seem to have acquired Blush

Froq · 26/02/2020 22:58

Yes Numbers! Like this one for example.

Beautiful dress.

That would have done the job bonny- and she has such shapely legs. Your eye would be drawn to a leg rather than a bump - such as it was then.

My thankles would remind you on a first attempt at filling sausage skins - just noticeably bigger. A girthy banger. Grin

I’d be sewing up that split and it would hide the multitude of sins!

bluebell34567 · 26/02/2020 23:04

i hope everyone is thriving Flowers

bluebell34567 · 26/02/2020 23:05

her legs very very thin.

Butterymuffin · 26/02/2020 23:10

But she's thin all over. Her legs aren't out of proportion.

Froq · 26/02/2020 23:11

Grin girthy bangers here too, Numbers.

It’s good to have a sturdy base.

bluebell34567 · 26/02/2020 23:14

her waist is not thin. and its not because of post pregnancy, its her shape. her ankles are not proportionally thin.

Winterlife · 26/02/2020 23:19

MM has a very boxy figure. When the Suits stylist was dressing her, she looked great. She hasn’t since. Her clothes are too big or too small. They do nothing for her figure. Plus she always looks sloppy.

MM has a figure type similar to Queen Letizia. MM would do well to copy her style.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 26/02/2020 23:21

She is pretty as a picture, no wonder Just Harry has lost the plot. I think the DM stories about her being the ice queen etc are a bit out thoughHmm

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 26/02/2020 23:21

Ott not out

Rainbows8117 · 26/02/2020 23:21

To be fair, all Meghan had to do was wear her coat a certain way to be accused of trying to upstage Eugenie.

She announced her pregnancy at the wedding didn't she? Or have I got that wrong?

DeRigueurMortis · 26/02/2020 23:21

Can we please stay away from a critique of her figure?

It's not pertinent and frankly I think the general obsession with evaluating women's bodies parts is to be discouraged.

Encyclo · 26/02/2020 23:29

She announced her pregnancy at the wedding didn't she? Or have I got that wrong?*

No she didn't. Most of the family already knew, they publicly announced it in Sydney.

7Worfs · 26/02/2020 23:30

Seconding DeRig - critiquing appearance is not nice and defo not in ‘the spirit of MN’

NumbersStation · 26/02/2020 23:30

I like to think that sturdy base is a good thing to have froq

It makes me feel like a weeble - you know the ones that wobble but they don’t fall down?

Sadly if I fell down getting up would be as alluring as a bull walrus trying to humph itself up a rock. Grin

Cremebrule · 26/02/2020 23:30

If the leaked mail stories are true then they really need to just be quiet for a while as all of the moaning is doing them no favours at all now. The queen m’s statement was very kind and they’d have done well to follow the same tone. I bet there have been some v interesting conversations behind closed doors.

Rainbows8117 · 26/02/2020 23:30

That's right, 3 days later.

NumbersStation · 26/02/2020 23:31

I long for the days that girthy bangers are back in vogue.

Less twiggy - more loggy Grin

Rainbows8117 · 26/02/2020 23:32

sorry my '3 days later' post was in response to

they publicly announced it in Sydney.
