Let’s strive to keep on topic and not engage with posts designed to disrupt.

Once they cut all ties with the RF I wonder how much the opinions of the British public will mean to them anyway?

The likes of Oprah Winfrey etc have the power to ensure that they don't need a continued connection to the RF to stay famous.

OverUnderSidewaysDown · 26/02/2020 12:43

I have to say I’m worried about the security aspects now. Thanks to the reorganisation of Edinburgh Waverley there are no vehicles permitted in the station. Looking at last night’s photos it’s clear Harry and his minders will have walked through the station and along the footbridge thingy to Market Street where their vehicle picked them up. Green credentials are great, but this to me looks a lot less secure than arriving at an airport nowadays.
I wonder if the usual welcoming committee of friendly drunks was removed from the Market Street exit.

What is this thread #21.3 ?

Cuttingthegrass · 26/02/2020 13:10

Hello everyone. I've just seen a solo magpie... I am not thriving. I did doff my imaginary cap and wish them a good day which I hope will ward off bad omens

Froq · 26/02/2020 13:12

He’s just Harry now, he doesn’t need security. He’s one of us Wink

SenecaFallsRedux · 26/02/2020 13:17

I have a question. Is is possible to have a discussion without making fun and mocking with the "thriving" references?

cantmovewont · 26/02/2020 13:18

...I think it's quite clear that he's 'done' with the lot of us rather than being 'one of us' tbh

SussexRoyalties · 26/02/2020 13:24

The thing is, if it’s a prepared, thought out statement that has been deliberately put out into the public eye, then the comment is fair game IMO.

Also, is it possible to have a thread where posters don't tell other posters what to say and not say?

Waterandlemonjuice · 26/02/2020 13:39

Pmsl at the artist formerly known as Prince Harry 😂😂😂

I’m enjoying these threads, thanks everyone. Luckily I have time on my hands to keep up with them.

I think it’ll be interesting to see if Meghan turns up in the UK, I’m not sure I would if I were her.

Waterandlemonjuice · 26/02/2020 13:41

I think the thriving comments are fair enough tbh, it’s all stuff in the public domain. It’s typical Brit humour imo.

InfiniteSheldon · 26/02/2020 13:45

Just checking in and hoping I didn't cause the deletion. I think that they absolutely have to go to the wedding smile and front it out, anything else shows appalling bad manners to his cousin. The ill feeling, if any, is on them however much they wish to be seen as victims that statement had the exact opposite effect and not going to the wedding doubles down on it. I'm starting to wonder if Harry has always been a bit of an arse and William, Charles etc have been frantically covering it for years.

That would be a turn-up and no mistake.

7Worfs · 26/02/2020 13:49

The new Instagram post is nice, relevant to Harry’s event.
The Sussexes are looking good today, long may it continue.

SenecaFallsRedux · 26/02/2020 13:49

I think the "thriving" jokiness is making fun of someone else's unhappiness. It's possible to have discussions, even negative ones, without doing that. The same goes for the "Are you okay?" comments.

maa1992 · 26/02/2020 13:51

I think they'll shy away from Britain. I imagine Meghan has her sights on being the next Oprah or Ellen. I doubt she will succeed, probably have a position on The View.

Harry will plod along, the public will lose interest (especially in Britain) and I can't see either of them having a long term career as Americans love the royal family, they aren't royal anymore.

I hope little Archie gets to enjoy a lovely home, though it's a shame he won't be around his cousins etc

7Worfs · 26/02/2020 13:54

Thinking more about it, no one ever asks me if I’m okay, and that’s okay Grin

The only time I’ve been asked is if I’m looking pale or tired - and who wants that sort of attention? Wink

ajandjjmum · 26/02/2020 13:54

Personally I accept that we don't all have the same sense of humour, and I don't expect other posters to change their character to fit in with mine. Live and let live - if you don't like something or someone, just move on.

If this thread is censored by the powers that be, I've noticed that H&M's antics are being freely discussed elsewhere, eg on Lipstickalley

Re Harry's appearance today, someone has commented:

Harry looks like he just wrapped up a drunken 5 day fest at Mardi Gras on Bourbon Street. He looks horrible.

And if he wants to be called Harry why does his wife's IG post mention their titles several times?

I have mixed feelings about Harry and Mhegan.
In some ways I do admire them stepping away to try to have a 'normal' life if that's what they want BUT I really don't think the taxpayer should be paying for their protection. They will not be carrying out royal duties. They have wealth already
If they want to be celebrities then they should pay for their own security team
I'm sure our elderly queen will be very hurt Harry has gone because it seems he was close to her

I think that ship has sailed Happygirl79 Sad

NumbersStation · 26/02/2020 14:26

Deep breath. Wary of the sword of Damocles.

That ship has sailed.

Not only sailed. Beached itself on the sand. Evolved. Grown some feet. Shed the tail. And Learned to walk upright. And is properly, ahem, flourishing ...

Aye that ship has sailed alright. Grin
