A new thread in which to discuss what happens next in this saga.

And best wishes to mustress and thanks for her excellent thread titles.

agree haggis is amazing for breakfast Mhor.

also agree that I hope someone is on the case with their Insta. Its odd that they’re posting old stuff on there, but I’d be very surprised if H&M are updating it themselves.

The DM is one of the leading papers in the campaign against Meghan. This is more unsubstantiated rumours, to sell papers and drive traffic to their site. And, oh look, it just worked!
I was on their site already so it didn't drive me to it.

what is your understanding of "stage an intervention" that you think it will require more security.
I already said "whatever that means" in my post. If she was to just put her opinion on social media then I don't think that would be considered "staging an intervention". That would just be commenting. IMO staging an intervention would involve her planning to become deliberately involved in intervening and if that isn't just by commenting, then she would need to be physically present to do so. If she was to be physically present that would involve having security with her.

Is she to blame?
Is she to blame for what?

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 12:10

Our nearest Chinese take-away is fifteen miles from the village.

Our Indian restaurant is only open during the summer.

These are the only two reasons why I (occasionally) miss living in London.

notmoresheep · 25/01/2020 12:12

Chinese takeaway GuytheBeagle? on Burns night?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 12:12

Just as Mr. Mhor and I dread every Saturday, when our 88 year-old neighbour brings the Mail over.

Does she bring you the TV Guide as well, Mustress ? That's quite good actually and the only bit worth reading!

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 12:13

I had forgotten that it was Burns Night.

I must make a sudden change to tonight's advertised menu.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 12:14

No, she keeps the TV Guide, Myimaginarycat, as she has no idea how to use her TV remote to find out what's on the telly.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 12:16

So that means yet another visit to the robbing butcher's.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 12:18

That's a bit above my head imaginarycat ,can you say a bit more ? What charity is the Royal Collection trust transferring it's money to ?

Sorry peridito, possibly I didn't explain very clearly. The Trust is just the umbrella. Underneath it is the registered charity whose purposes must be exclusively charitable, and the charity's Trading Subsidiary, set up to raise money through commercial activities that the charity can't undertake. The TS passes all its profits back to the charity to spend on its charitable purposes. There's a page on the website under 'About' that explains it a lot better than me!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 12:19

No, she keeps the TV Guide, Myimaginarycat,

Ha! Just as I thought! She is using you to dispose of the wrapping...Grin

NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite · 25/01/2020 12:19

No Purveyors of Carefully Curated Products Endorsed by Instagram Influencer Status.
Now there's an idea for a business venture. DOY could capitalise by making signs that said that. (A bit like an ice-cream man selling umberellas). I bet Fergie would even laugh at that sign herself. Grin

notmoresheep · 25/01/2020 12:21

hopefully robbing butcher will have shot some wild haggis for you this morning.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 12:23

No Purveyors of Carefully Curated Products Endorsed by Instagram Influencer Status

DH has just started to add this to the sign on our gate.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 12:25

Actually - re the Daily Mail and the Old Lady:

She gets it from a different Old Lady, removes the TV Guide, then ambles across to our cottage with the remains.

Every. Fucking. Saturday.

GuytheBeagle · 25/01/2020 12:26

That sounds blissful, Mustress . Love the West Coast. I used to stay up in Applecross. A very paradise.

Now final update on DC - spoke to lovely senior vet. We are stopping the thyroid med for now, and she is going to run some further blood tests to check kidney function. We may then re start the med on half the dosage. It could be she is hyper sensitive to it ( it's not the one that can cause the allergic reaction however) or simply is zonked out as her T4 levels were so high. Five times too high Sad

Re future she suggested the op, which she does routinely, all other things being equal, when things have stabilised.

Now, back to H&M Smile

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 12:28

Huh.

Hopefully the robbing butcher is reading this and will lower his extortionate prices.

GuytheBeagle · 25/01/2020 12:30

Mustress that was in response to your rural fastness, sans takeawayGrin
NOT the DM neighbour.
The Archers reminded me re Burns night. But I have a craving for Chinese food!
Maybe Haggis later in the week. I shall go out foraging later.

'Posting those old pics was a very foolish move."
Okay. I agree that this is an opinion and not a fact.

"the Instagram comments are brutal!"
This is also an opinion.

You are absolutely, totally and utterly correct and I was absolutely, totally and utterly incorrect in agreeing they were facts.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 12:34

Ah. That is very reassuring Guy. It's awful when they're ill.

As to "Getting back to H & M" I'm not entirely sure we were discussing them much so far today.

Signs for Gates

The Robbing Butcher (sounds like an opera by Rossini)

The Old Lady and the TV Guide

Random Menus

Not much about H & M.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 12:36

No one deserves that and I wonder what state her mental health is

Totally agree.

Careful now, when someone made an identical comment about Harry's mental health on the previous thread we had a visit and a warning from MNHQ about speculating on someone's mental health.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 12:36

Actually, I wonder if Rossini ever did write an opera called The Robbing Butcher.

And if not - why not?

rockingchaircandle · 25/01/2020 12:36

@NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite

RC This is more unsubstantiated rumours, to sell papers and drive traffic to their site. And, oh look, it just worked!
NE I was on their site already so it didn't drive me to it.

Bigger picture- you then posted on here, so posters have to click to read and see if they agree with your point, or let it stand. And it's 'click bait' for those posters who are drawn to anti-Meghan stuff. People go over, ad revenue goes up- they will 'find' more of this shite to publish.

RC what is your understanding of "stage an intervention" that you think it will require more security.
NE I already said "whatever that means"... then you define it as to "be physically present that would involve having security with her."*

This is a big give away that it's clickbait gossip! Deliberately worded to be vague so people can attribute the worst interpretations. Lots of people get involved with politics.

RC Is she to blame?
NE Is she to blame for what?

Needing more security. This is a popular stick to beat her with (not saying you necessarily were!). When people comment on here, criticisms are often linked to her being materialistic or costing money for security by not withdrawing with dignity. But if we accept that she has a right to be out and about, physically, with protection, then great.

Roussette

I think Prince Charles made his feelings on the current US Administration very clear, when he blatantly swerved shaking Pence's hand this week.
Both Clarence House and Mike Pence's office have denied any snub and have explained the reason why PC didn't shake MP's hand (again):

@Myimaginarycathasfleas

Careful now, when someone made an identical comment about Harry's mental health on the previous thread we had a visit and a warning from MNHQ about speculating on someone's mental health.

Don't make light of this. The warning on the previous thread was for the nasty speculation about mainly Meghan's mental health, and how she was a narcissist etc. Nobody thinks there is anything wrong with genuinely expressing concern about people's mental health.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 12:41

I don't know how much notice M takes of the comments but it's been reported by one of the Royal biographers that H reads everything.

I genuinely don't understand the mindset of someone who wants to be an influencer. Is it a two way thing? Do they take note of the comments they receive or is it just a case of always being in "transmit", and never "receive"?
