A new thread in which to discuss what happens next in this saga.

And best wishes to mustress and thanks for her excellent thread titles.

I’m not on Instagram either, but I think you have to be an influencer to be able to peddle things.
I mean it’s reputational, not an official policy, but someone more clued up can tell us more.

OVienna · 25/01/2020 11:23

mhor and underneath the litter tray. .

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 11:24

That is true OVienna.

peridito · 25/01/2020 11:24

That's a bit above my head imaginarycat ,can you say a bit more ? What charity is the Royal Collection trust transferring it's money to ?

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 11:26

And many people used it (in days of yore) as lavatory paper.

Or to wrap fish and chips.

My grandparents used it to line drawers, but I always wonder if your clothes end up with newsprint on if you do that.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 11:28

Soooooo………………

…...……...what's on the menu tonight, tout le monde?

I have a feeling it's lamb chops here.

rockingchaircandle · 25/01/2020 11:29

@OverUnderSidewaysDown

"the Instagram comments are brutal! Posting those old pics was a very foolish move."

The tone made it seem like that to me - the comments weren't being condemned rather her foolish moves put the blame on her...
And then others rushed off to have a look

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 11:30

7Worfs

When you say "peddle things" it puts me in mind of people knocking on the door and trying to flog Bettaware (or however you spell it).

I would not have thought that it was necessary to be an IG Influencer to do this.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 11:31

No Peddlers is a sign still seen on people's gates.

Though possibly not the Queen's.

7Worfs · 25/01/2020 11:33

Hmm, then I shall rephrase to “endorsing carefully curated products”. To me it’s the same though.

GuytheBeagle · 25/01/2020 11:36

Chinese take away here for dinner. Not had one for ages and ages.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 11:36

So all people have to do is change the sign on the gate to:

No Hawkers

No Canvassers

No Purveyors of Carefully Curated Products Endorsed by Instagram Influencer Status.

Yes. Yes, that would work.

especially on Buckingham Palace where the gates are longer than most people's

notmoresheep · 25/01/2020 11:36

morning all. just had a look on the (not)sussex(not)royal insta, even from a quick shufty the comments are quite brutal. they seem to have deleted loads too.

NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite · 25/01/2020 11:38

There was nothing gleeful in my post. It was a statement of fact.
That's how I read your post too OverUnderSidewaysDown.

notmoresheep · 25/01/2020 11:39

and its Haggis on the menu in the sheep household today.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 11:40

Good morning, notmoresheep.

If I received comments like that I would delete them.

I would employ someone round the clock whose sole raison d'etre was to delete unwanted comments from anything in which I had an interest.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 11:41

Haggis.

Yum.

Haggis features regularly on the menu chez Mhor.

rockingchaircandle · 25/01/2020 11:41

@OverUnderSidewaysDown @NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite

"Posting those old pics was a very foolish move"

Nope - this is an opinion, not a "statement of fact!"

PGtipsplease · 25/01/2020 11:42

I’ve just had a look at the Sussex insta page and was agog at all the hate of complete strangers. Thousands of hateful messages.

No one deserves that and I wonder what state her mental health is

rockingchaircandle · 25/01/2020 11:44

@TheMustressMhor

When you say you would delete abusive comments "from anything in which I had an interest" what is it you mean?

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 11:52

Actually, notmoresheep I think haggis is good for breakfast as well as dinner.

The robbing butcher makes his own. It is very good.

Roussette · 25/01/2020 11:52

PH must surely have told Meghan that expressing her political views as a member of the RF was a no-no

I think Prince Charles made his feelings on the current US Administration very clear, when he blatantly swerved shaking Pence's hand this week. And Princess Anne not being in the lineup to shake Trump's hand on his last visit, standing on the sidelines and despite the Queen beckoning her over... refusing.

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 25/01/2020 11:54

I don’t have Instagram so luckily I get to avoid any comments....

Roussette · 25/01/2020 11:56

No one deserves that and I wonder what state her mental health is

Totally agree.

Nikhedonia · 25/01/2020 12:02
