And best wishes to mustress and thanks for her excellent thread titles.

funny! gracefulhippo

DH is a bloody brilliant intuitive cook. So good that no one else ever wants to cook anything for him. This is actually a kind of a mixed blessing, in that he gets all cheffy and huffy if we dont have exactly the right kind of ingredient, and also if he doesnt want to cook and I suggest boiled eggs on toast he has a hissy fit!

Sorry.

It was GuyTheBeagle who was planning black pudding.

Guy, I am sorry you're worried about your DCat. What has the vet said?

CleansUpDragonPoo · 24/01/2020 22:51

Scrambled always works for me, and no issues with snotty whites or hard yolks. I hate snotty whites!

I'm speaking of eggs of course, given some of the earlier thread comments about prejudice, better clarify quickly..

DazedWifelet · 24/01/2020 22:54

So, her Maj & senior royals got hurty feelings because Harry & Meghan don’t want to open any more mouse sanctuaries in no-horse towns, but they are perfectly happy with Prince Andrew fucking sex-trafficked girls & partying with a convicted paedophile? Fuck me!

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 22:56

This is one of those occasions where MNHQ's advice to scroll past post you're not interested in would be useful.

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 22:56

Posts, even.

yolofish · 24/01/2020 22:57

I'm not keen on egg white when fried, the yolk is the bit worth eating. Scrambled eggs are lovely but cant eat too much of them for some reason. Poached eggs need to be dried before they go on the toast else the toast goes soggy. Boiled eggs are best when eaten nursery style, ie mashed up on toast. IMO Grin

dazed if you care to read back there have been numerous comment about how no one condones Andrew's actions, but here we are talking about M&H.

aw, I'd love to open a mouse sanctuary! in fact I often feel as if I run one, saving so many from the bastard cats...

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 23:00

You're right about the yolk, yolofish.

The white is there by mistake IMO.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 24/01/2020 23:00

I'm funny about eggs so many people don't cook them properly so I tend to have my fried eggs over easy.
Poached eggs now my DGM made the best!

bluebell34567 · 24/01/2020 23:01

nice to see you here again Mustress and happy that today went well. Flowers

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 23:01

I love the idea of mouse sanctuaries.

But how would they get inmates without cats?

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 23:03

Thanks, bluebell.

Thanks to everyone. It's been a rollercoaster of a day.

I think I enjoyed the dinner best, followed by falling asleep on the sofa.

yolofish · 24/01/2020 23:04

The white is actually very good for you (one?) something to do with albumen which is a protein source. Hence all those Hollywood stars eating egg white omelettes, which sounds fucking disgusting to me but each to their own...

My rescue chickens (arrived Dec 14) are feathering up well and getting bloody cocky actually - one in particular is an escape artist which would be fine except my Lab is VERY interested... Waiting for daylight levels to improve before we get inundated with eggs but have enough for the moment.

My cat wanted to open a mouse sanctuary but I said no. Perhaps I misjudged her?

katiegoestoaldi · 24/01/2020 23:08

M&S cream cheese is vile! How can they get something so simple so wrong? My youngest was most put out

yolofish · 24/01/2020 23:09

niceguyneddie your cat is obviously caring and wants to save the world. you have definitely misjudged her!

Night all, thanks for the fun here tonight!

Heavens, katiegoestoaldi I am disappointed to read that your DD was put out by the M & S cream cheese.

7Worfs · 24/01/2020 23:16

I’m off for the night also, thanks for the chat indeed - I completely neglected my other VERY important threads (Star Trek 🚀 and Thug Cat 😼).
May we all have an excellent breakfast tomorrow.

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 23:16

Anyway.

Bedtime for bears in this house. Cats have been out and have returned, with that slightly outraged look on their faces.

G'Nite everyone.

Memo to self:

Find out more about the rescue chickens getting cocky.

Discover Thug Cat thread.

katiegoestoaldi · 24/01/2020 23:20

What can I say, they have very discerning taste Grin They're particular partial to langoustines, I kid you not

Long time lurker on this thread (my sympathies re H and M accord with the majority, MustressMhor et al) but I'm actually delurking now just to say to GuytheBeagle that my dear late cat remained well and stable on medication (Felimazole) for hyperthyroidism for a very good number of years until we finally had to say goodbye to him at the grand age of nineteen and a half with an unrelated illness (malignant tumour). And I'm very happy your skin scare turned out ok MustressMhor.
