I do agree the press is misogynistic. Definitely. However I think Meghan's behaviour has brought a lot of negativity on herself. 99 percent of the coverage is not racist. I don’t care if she’s half green and half orange . I just don’t like her entitled, self seeking attitude.

Lord yes, I've been on MN since 2012 but have never understood the frustration with tagging. But I have got my settings so that most MN stuff goes into my junk mail.

Re the Queen, I think the disrespect is not the wanting to step back but the way they did it - the insta announcement, the website ready to go.

Maybe the Palace was stonewalling them and they just got pissed off - we dont know, but IMO they went about their big announcement in totally the wrong way and that's why I think they were disrespectful to HMQ.

Thanks for the explanation. So, if someone is on the thread already I assume it can get pretty annoying so I think I'll just put their name in bold instead so they aren't overloaded with emails.

I don't think anyone actually reads MN emails (well I don't anyway - I know I get a lot of emails saying a reply has been made on a thread you're on or something). I have never opened them.

The leaving statement and the wording on their website is what I found extremely disrespectful

We have no idea how long discussions have been going on amongst the RF - could have been months. We will never know. I would hope the RF positively support H & M in leading the life they want. Pretty poor family if they don’t. All I want is for my DC’s to be happy with the choices they make - I’m sure I won’t agree with them all but I love them and want them to happy.

It was probably going to be criticised however they went about leaving, but I imagine when your coming up against the firm like that you've got to hold your own! I'm sure the Queen had a lot of people to thrash out the details for her. At the end of the day, she gave a very supportive statement about them. I think she realised he had every right to leave.
