I sometimes think I single-handedly keep the sherry industry alive.

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 16:04

Let him downsize like the rest of us

Quite right.

Let him own a four-bedroomed house instead of a ten-bedroomed house.

Or whatever. The greedy fucker.

EcocabbyRickShaw · 24/01/2020 16:06

Sherry is such a refined drink.

Unless you consume it via a funnel of course

diddl · 24/01/2020 16:06

I'm not sure how much access Harry has to his money- & I'm sure I read that some is held in trust until he's 40??!!

So I guess it was always thought OK that he would be supported in some way at least until then?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 24/01/2020 16:06

It starts to get very tricky doesn't it? There must be a few weddings coming up that Harry would normally attend.

Does he attend on his own from now on?

After the things Meghan has said about his family, could she even face them?

I think they are arrogant and self absorbed enough to think that they might attract too much attention. They really won't.

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 16:07

Argyll & Bute Council have many empty properties if the Sussexes are stuck.

At least he'd be a bit nearer to Dumbarton then.

DH was born in Dumbarton. I love throwing in useless pieces of information.

Nikhedonia · 24/01/2020 16:08

After the things Meghan has said about his family, could she even face them

Do we know that she has actually said anything about them?

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 16:09

diddl PH will be forty in five years.

Surely the two of them can live on MM's 2,000,000 till then?

or there is always universal credit if they are really stuck

emzey · 24/01/2020 16:10

Can I just join into add that I think we all need a little light relief from our lives and other issues. This Harry and Meghan business is just that.
To take from Gavin and Stacey...
Pam saying something like "it's just all the drama mick, I love it".
It's how alot of people feel. Yes, some issues may piss us off regarding funding of their lifestyle, treatment of the queen and how they will use titles now but whatever. It's just not worth getting serious about.
Did I do ok?Wink

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 16:10

You know, I was absolutely forced to buy the sherry.

That pink gin DH got yesterday was vile.

goldierocks · 24/01/2020 16:10

Glad to see you back on the thread Mustress, enjoy your sherry.

Flowers Encyclo at this difficult time.

Kensington Palace have confirmed that William and Catherine will be attending the BAFTAS on 2nd February.

When do we think the Ellen interview will be released?!

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 16:11

Yes, emzey you did.

I hope that you are okay.

Wheresthebeach · 24/01/2020 16:11

Waves at @TheMustressMhor - happy to hear your good news. Enjoy your dinner!

Horrified at the thought of Ellen, but I suppose a series of simpering interviews was to be expected (nothing like a quiet life!). Hopefully there will be an initial rush of hysteria and then it will die down and they will fade into the background due to lack of interest. K&W are certainly doing the hard lifting now.

Nikhedonia · 24/01/2020 16:11

Pink gin is vile, Mustress you have my sympathies Sad

derxa · 24/01/2020 16:12

At least he'd be a bit nearer to Dumbarton then. Grin
I'd much rather live in Dumbarton than some mansion in Canada.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 24/01/2020 16:12

Spot on emzy. I love Pam. Ds - almost 17 will forever be "my little prince" because of her Grin. He doesn't even mind either.

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 16:13

So would I derxa.

I love the west coast of Scotland. We live in a small village in Argyll.

emzey · 24/01/2020 16:13

Hi mhor, glad you are well too.
I'm 40(cough) and on 2 mile a year...its not enough tbh. I'm gonna have to buy a titleGrin

rockingchaircandle · 24/01/2020 16:16

I can see why they might think they'd attract too much attention!

From reactions on here, and probably the same with the general public, they're dammed if they do go to weddings and damned if they don't!

What do we actually know she's said about the family?

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 16:17

The Pink Gin Debacle

Hairdresser: Pink gin is great. You should try it.

Me: Right.

(two days later)

DH: Anything you want at the shops?

Me: Pink gin and two bottles of tonic.

DH: Not sherry?

Me: No. xxxxxx recommended pink gin.

DH:

Okay.

(half an hour later)

DH: Fucking eighteen quid. Eighteen quid. Fucksake.

(even later)

Me: DH, I don't like this pink gin. It's got a funny taste.

DH: Good. At least the sherry doesn't cost us eighteen quid a bottle. Fuck that.

emzey · 24/01/2020 16:17

I meant 2 million a year, how do I edit my posts...I'm pressing all frigging buttons here!

JeansNTees · 24/01/2020 16:18

A point. Or a tangent if you will. MN has been mostly kind and supportive. The exceptions tend to be deleted or reported quite quickly. Absolutely no insults to Archie allowed, quite rightly. Over on LSA, there is a thread called Unfortunate looking Celeb kids. This is an American site, and it is utterly vicious about celeb kids. Tell me again how moving to N. America is going to equate to less meanness?

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 24/01/2020 16:20

Surely even they wouldn’t be daft enough to appear on Ellen??

I forgot to add I’m a staunch remainer. My MP staunch Brexiteer. We have regular exchanges of emails. I will not back down as I think Brexit is the worst thing to happen to our dcs. Freedom of movement taken away. For what??

Rant over.

TheMustressMhor · 24/01/2020 16:20

emzey you could become the Duke of Argyll if you married the current incumbent. Although he's actually married at the moment, but you might be able to get him if he gets divorced.

Inveraray Castle is a nice place to live and it's near the village fish and chip shop.
