Oh my. If she's going on Ellen, I can see fodder for threads for months to come. In the next six months, we'll have a clearer idea for how they will run their lives. Right now, they (she?) are just taking advantage of the publicity. Unless they stop being so utterly tone deaf to how some of their actions are received, I don't see them fading from the spotlight right away.

I do see parallels with the Duke of Windsor, the difference being that the Duchess of Windsor wasn't quite the publicity hound.

Since Harry has his own personal fortune, I can see PC telling him that he'll pay for the security and nothing else. I've heard people say that yes, 30 million is a fortune to use, but not to someone who has lived like royalty. Well, who the heck says that he has to still live like royalty? Let him downsize like the rest of us. I wonder if the whole "we'll re-evaluate in a year" is a kind of unofficial financial blackmail by PC. On the other hand, threatening to go on talk shows could be their way of getting what they want financially. I'm probably being unkind to both sides here...
