I hope I've got what everyone wants in the title of this, the twelfth thread in the series.

It has proved a great success when paying zero attention to some posters has succeeded in dispersing them

So... do you want discussion or do you just want agreement with like minded individuals? Because that sounds very childish.

You don't own this thread. You just started it, that's all.

Albatross123 · 23/01/2020 18:33

Myimaginarycathasfleas It is much more than a brief smile. The DM showed a video rather than just the photo and she is smiling throughout. The guy at the rear is on his phone - not even alert to what's going on around him. I find that odd.

It is interesting that the pap photos only seem to occur when Harry isn't around

  • 6 week holiday - no pap pictures
  • M in Canada alone while H negotiated "Megxit" - paps at the airport as she departed to the shelter, papped picking up the yoga instructor, 2"unofficial" visits where she approved the photos, papped with Archie walking the dog
  • H back - all quiet again

The fact that the bodyguards failed to react was also interesting - you would have thought they would have been on high alert and move in front of her if this was an unexpected person coming out of the bushes.

I think that H really plans to step back from the media - but I don't think that M has these plans even though she may have convinced H that she wants the same thing

TheMustressMhor · 23/01/2020 18:37

She does look as though she is walking towards the cameras in the video you mention Albatross123

If she was in any danger you would hope that her bodyguards would have advised her not to engage with the photographers. They would also have been a lot more pro-active.

they could also have taken the dogs' leads from her as she has the baby in a sling

Going back to the pap photos of Meghan ,baby and dog - I saw it mentioned that someone might have called her name and she looked up ( the way you do ) and smiled .
That is plausible. However, a number of pictures were taken and it doesn't appear that either the British Protection Officer and the Canadian Mountie did anything. They stayed the same distance behind Meghan so they clearly didn't try to intervene at all. For that reason, I don't think that happened, no matter how plausible it sounds.

rockingchaircandle · 23/01/2020 18:42

it's called democracy - it's not! But you do have every right to comment, as do I. I report the worst and offer my own thoughts.

In addition to the double standard I pointed out before, you're also keen to police what's said here, while laughing at someone's non-cat thread being invaded.

One observation; a lot of people getting stuck in to the narcissism stuff seem to have experienced it in someone close to them. Could it be, that you don't have any evidence as to MM being a narcissist, and those posters are just projecting? There may be a healthier and kinder way to explore your own relationships.

MarySidney · 23/01/2020 18:43

they could also have taken the dogs' leads from her as she has the baby in a sling

Surely they need to be free to move quickly if necessary, and can't risk getting tangled up in dog leads. Besides, it's not their job. They're highly trained specialist police officers, not dog walkers.

TheMustressMhor · 23/01/2020 18:47

Yum Yum Home-made onion soup.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 23/01/2020 18:47

It is a well used tactic and you always see them using it every time they ambush someone on TV. So it is possible.

I think I'd believe this explanation more if she there was someone else ahead of her that she was attempting to maintain eye contact with and smiling at for a protracted amount of time.

Having said that the Camera guy does appear to be somewhat far away in those shots.

BUT I often talk and hum to myself. Maybe she smiles to herself regularly.

I also do think Lunde makes an interesting observation in that there are no pap shots when PH is around. Maybe it's the threatened action?

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 23/01/2020 18:48

I worked for a very famous person who had security. No way on this earth would they have been involved with the dogs this person owned. There were multiple dog walkers for that and on one occasion when one of dogs refused to be caught by a new walker to go out for his walk, security still wouldn't get involved despite knowing the dogs well. They just looked at her blankly and said "you'll have to leave him behind then" when she asked for help.

7Worfs · 23/01/2020 18:51

There may be a healthier and kinder way to explore your own relationships.

What a presumptuous and pretentious thing to post... for the 10th time. Mix it up and be less patronising if you want to change the MN world for the better. Wink

Encyclo · 23/01/2020 18:52

Someone asked how the paps knew she was in that park. They know the address of the mansion and they've no doubt staked it out and are following vehicles going out.

These are the type of people who photographed Diana dying in a car wreck. I'd put nothing past them.

marjolaine · 23/01/2020 18:53

This is probably belated now with how fast these threads move but I think the nose thing could be in reference to this post MM made Father’s Day 2016?

The Queen pulled out of the WI visit with only 30 minutes notice. Unless the meeting was for, say, 9.30 a.m., I am extremely surprised. It makes me wonder if PP has deteriorated.

If she had a bad cold she'd have had it when she awoke and would have given more notice. It is very unlike her.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 23/01/2020 18:55

But you do have every right to comment

That would be the democracy I'm talking about. Glad to see you accept that now, so I shall expect no more lectures.

However I'm sincerely all ears to your analysis of the situation regardless of whether it agrees with mine or not.

rockingchaircandle · 23/01/2020 18:56

If she's so good at scheming and manipulating, and has gone to the bother of organising the photos to be taken, surely she wouldn't sabotage it all by beaming at the camera?

Looking at the video, she seems really relaxed and happy. She's got her baby, her dogs and that looks a lovely walk!

I doubt she's missed the anger a poorly worn baby sling can provoke in certain sections of the public so I think she would have sorted that.

She's smiling because she's happy!

TheMustressMhor · 23/01/2020 18:56

Interesting to read the comments about the dogs.

rockingchaircandle · 23/01/2020 18:59

It's a right you have, but not what democracy is! The two often coincide.

Have offered thoughts, quite a few. Enjoy and engage as you like!

SingingLily · 23/01/2020 18:59

I tried chilli vodka once. I honestly thought I was going to have a heart attack. Dreadful stuff

You are much braver than I am, WendyMoiraAngelaDarling, although I did once try brennivin. My brother brought some back from Iceland. Only once I had tried it did he reveal that it was known locally as The Black Death.

It did not improve our sibling relationship.

My god, they sound psychotic! Why on earth is MM looking so happy to see them and why isn't her security doing anything??

TheMustressMhor · 23/01/2020 19:01

What was on the menu chez Lily this evening?

Because she was on a lovely walk. A PP has confirmed this.

I don't much like prose which is sprinkled with exclamation marks.

@7worfs

I've made my point, as nicely as I could! I wasn't trying to be patronising but I still think it's good advice. (And I still believe it's cruel to keep making allegations about Meghan).

eggandonion · 23/01/2020 19:09

Had she met Harry in 2016 when the father's day gush was posted?
