I hope I've got what everyone wants in the title of this, the twelfth thread in the series.

It's weird how you think you deserve privacy to bitch (my opinion of course!) about this family on an open discussion forum you signed up to, but the family in question deserve none.

It's called democracy. People can discuss other people in the public eye. On MN, on Facebook, on Twitter, on Blogs, in Newspapers, on TV there's a line, and as long as people stay within that loiine they have a basic right to express their thoughts.

Yes it is your opinion and I have mine. Can I ask, do you tell other people discussing other public individuals on MN that you disapprove. Or it is just threads about M? The Katie Price ones? the Prince Andrew ones? Any other famous individuals. No?

If you disagree with something said you can engage and give alternative hypothesis as have some others. You can also report posts that cross that line (there definitely have been some, and this can be positive and necessary)

However merely telling us you disapprove of what grown adults are posting is not engaging it's lecturing. The hide thread button is there if bothers you this much.

Going back to the pap photos of Meghan ,baby and dog - I saw it mentioned that someone might have called her name and she looked up ( the way you do ) and smiled .

This sounds entirely plausible to me ,especially given the disaray ( sorry if incorrect spelling ! } of the baby carrier and the awkward grasp of the dog leads .

Does anyone feel the same ?

SunsetBoulevard3 · 23/01/2020 18:05

It occurred to me that Meghan is now dependent financially in her FIL and has been since she married.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 23/01/2020 18:07

There is nothing wrong with me saying ... what on earth is matter with the Mum, I think she has behaved impeccably. This is a discussion forum where posters can ask questions, want clarification etc

I don't think there's anything wrong with that either Rousette

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 23/01/2020 18:08

I don't know if M is a narcissist. I'm making no assertion that she is. However the person I knew who was had no qualms whatsoever about being reliant on Other Peoples Money. They felt they were entitled to it.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 23/01/2020 18:08

It’s just not worth engaging catherine
I am not even reading the posts concerned.

I don't think he's going to run out of cash any time soon. Grin

That whacko letter!

On the back of the envelope on the left third it says:
Maghan (sic) is
married to
Prince
Harry
Prince Charles
SON and
Queen's grand
sons
in England
many
Thank you".

On the right two thirds it says:
Please pass this letter
to Maghan's (sic) family
Thomas MARKLE father *
Samantha MARKLE Sister *
Thomas Junior MARKLE Brother *
where ever they are
living in America

He didn't want to open it as he was terrified of it and when asked why he responded "because if a little white powder falls out of it, I'm a dead man".

I don't even think that's an unreasonable thought. People considered to be loose canons often meet untimely ends.
Virginia Roberts-Guiffre has put it out there that she isn't suicidal to protect herself from being murdered for what she knows about Jeffrey Epstein.
A man (whose name I can't remember) yesterday, who said there was a big increase in online votes for Hilary Clinton was warned off before his 29 year old wife died late last year in a car crash. He has also put it out that he is heartbroken but not suicidal to try and protect himself.

I don't think TM should be laughed at for his concerns.

peridito · 23/01/2020 18:11

concern...e...d what's that sound ? Oh it's an echo .

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 23/01/2020 18:11

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook

I check the name and if it's someone I don't want to engage with I immediately skim to the next post rather than read some lecturing comment that I know will suck me into responding. Do try it. It makes things much less stressful.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 23/01/2020 18:13

I wonder what PC is expecting in return for his millions then? After all, he’s also in his dotage..

The80sweregreat · 23/01/2020 18:15

I do believe that Meghan displays Narcissistic tendencies as so many people have said about ' red flags' and she seems to be going down certain routes that suggest she has this type of personality.
My late mil was one too. Difficult does not cover how bad that woman was with people ; it was always her way or the highway and you could have walked over hot coals for her and she would have said ' they are not hot enough' ! She was a force of nature and Meghan appears to be the same. My mil also had a difficult childhood too and was a massive attention seeker.
If Harry is reigning this in a bit his got a big job on his hands because she will become bored. Very quickly.

Parker231 · 23/01/2020 18:17

What evidence do you have of that?

NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite · 23/01/2020 18:17

I actually think that the never quoted, silent type that is Doria, may be responsible for a lot more of this hoohaa than we give her credit for.
I think that, given the respect TM shows her, she could try and build bridges between him and H&M (or maybe she does try?).

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 23/01/2020 18:18

I begin to understand Meghan's need to be financially independent after watching that programme. It was a precarious life. I do see why having earned her own living successfully for a few years it seems like a step backwards to be dependent on someone else's benevolence.

I still think the way she and H have behaved is beneath contempt and I don't see them redeeming themselves any time soon, but I think in her case it's more than just pure greed and ambition.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 23/01/2020 18:19

He’s also not much use to her now. If he isn’t an active Royal he has limited cache. If he doesn’t want publicity and she does, she will find that a nuisance, and by inference, him. He will be jettisoned.

The80sweregreat · 23/01/2020 18:21

No evidence myself as I've never met her but just the way she has been up to now.
I just feel that Harry will be forever try to keep her happy and that is very draining.
I hope things work out for them but I think she may just start to get a bit bored and start craving a more exciting life. I doubt she wants the quiet life but I'd like to be proved wrong !

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 23/01/2020 18:22

Yes Wendy and Sunset you're right. I do get fed up being lectured to like a child.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 23/01/2020 18:22

Yes, I think that's entirely possible. I'm not sure I believe that's what happened, but it could have.

katiegoestoaldi · 23/01/2020 18:24

How did the pap know she was there if it wasn't a set up?

TheMustressMhor · 23/01/2020 18:25

It has proved a great success when paying zero attention to some posters has succeeded in dispersing them.

TheMustressMhor · 23/01/2020 18:26

Bloody hell.

The amount of syntactical errors in my last post is staggering.

The80sweregreat · 23/01/2020 18:26

I'm not sure what I think about Mr Markle after that interview. He seemed a mixture of bitter and regret and also wanting something? His marriages didn't seem conventional and he must have had a backlash for marrying Doria as mixed race relationships were frowned on back then. They must have gone though a lot for love. He clearly doted on Meghan too.
He must feel awful as he can't see them.
It's a very sad situation.

That sounds completely plausible to me.
In fact that's a pap trick isn't it?
