I didn't know about him doing the Piers Morgan interview. Why on earth do that & lie in that also? Of course H&M would be angry
I watched that interview and he said nothing that was anything but complimentary. Described M as his Princess said H couldn't make her a princess because she already was one, said he hoped H looked after his daughter.
I think he's been treated in a very high handed way by 2 people who are complaining themselves about the difficulty of dealing with the media (despite having a lot more experience) and one of those people has, it's alleged, deliberately employed her friends to get at her father in the press. Very hypocritical. How can you complain about your father doing a few relatively harmless pap shots of him trying on some suits and ghost him, but then use the same means to intentionally malign his character? Even if he is a hurtful cynical old man, that would still be wrong.
I do think he ought to have 'risen above' but I was ghosted by a close friend out of the blue once and it was like she died. I grieved as I waited for her to call. I cannot imagine him calling and texting and getting no reply week after week..then the allusions to the letter in the press and lies that you faked your heart attack.
It's worth remembering that the lie about him faking his heart attack was repeated everywhere (including here) the tabloids and even, if I remember correctly The Wendy Williams show among others.
I don't think H&M have any right to be angry. H was what so worried he'd lose M that he didn't insist on meeting her father out of common decency let alone the optics? Did he forget his own dysfunctional family dynamic so that he couldn't find it in himself to extend any grace?
This was a totally avoidable situation, there were chances to build bridges that weren't taken imo of course.
