Harry and Meghan - "It Has Come To This"

These are the words of Prince Harry. He sounded defeated. He has lost his military patronages. He is no longer living anywhere near his brother or father. He is moving to Canada.

Meanwhile, Meghan has been photographed in the park, with Archie and the dogs, beaming. It seems that she alerted the paparazzi herself. Meghan has truly got what Meghan wants.

I wonder what they said to one another when he got back?

And I am quite certain that toddlers do not come in any flavour other than permanent bad temper and outrage.

My nephew threw a sandwich at my sister because it was (allegedly) the "wrong shape".

And then, when my sister threw it in the bin, he went berserk.

Sorry - rogue apostrophe - Cambridges

Tinselette1940 · 22/01/2020 14:47

I know Harry and Meghan have lost the HRH

TwentyViginti · 22/01/2020 14:49

Isn't M and H HRH put aside for now, rather than lost?

MrsDoubtTried · 22/01/2020 14:50

MaisWeee

I've never seen a thread about Brexit suddenly morphing into a discussion on guinea pigs, cycling and quinoa.

The reason it took 50 posts to explain who Princess Michael was is because nobody had a fucking clue how she was related to the Queen either.

Am I baaaad for finding the above gems hilarious?Grin

MaisWeee · 22/01/2020 14:50

I think we don't know. If they don't want to be royal, then they can't be HRH.

Tinselette1940 · 22/01/2020 14:51

I can't say too much or it would be outing but Camilla has connections to my place of work and she pops by occasionally. She's very well liked. Also the Queen came to open a building a few years ago and my (bad-tempered) toddler son was furious she wasn't wearing a crown.

Tinselette1940 · 22/01/2020 14:51

Sorry twenty you are quite right.

GracefulHippo · 22/01/2020 14:51

Thank you Mustress. Meningitis and sepsis , well done for spotting that, how perfectly dreadful!! Hope all ended ok?

DD is much better now, we held out to morning and went to A&E then. Avoided being admitted, but some seriously dodgy blood values, so been told to re-test next week. < staying away from google >

notmoresheep · 22/01/2020 14:52

Tinselette they’ve not lost the HRH, that’s Harry’s by birth and there’s no way he’d be made to defer to more junior family members. They just can’t use it. If they divorce, she loses the HRH.

Tinselette1940 · 22/01/2020 14:54

I got a phonecall from the gp this morning hauling me in because of dodgy blood values (liver). It's due to the chest infection but they are testing again in a month to check it has settled. Try not to worry Hippo

MaisWeee · 22/01/2020 14:54

Well we did learn MrsDoubtTried that the queen has 4 uncles/aunts on her father's side and that she has 8 uncles/aunts on her mother's side.

Good Catholic families they were Wink

TwentyViginti · 22/01/2020 14:55

Sorry about possible cancer, Mhor Flowers and death of pets for the bereaved Flowers

As for the rest of you cat staff, didn't you realise you are never off duty? You must be available at all times for feeding and and petting duties Hmm

Tinselette1940 · 22/01/2020 14:55

Yes you are right notmoresheep - sorry, bad phrasing from me.

Tinselette1940 · 22/01/2020 14:57

Maiswee I'm seriously dim at the moment - was that a quote from the film?

MaisWeee · 22/01/2020 14:57

I always thought there were just the two brothers - the Queen's father and the fella who abdicated - Bertie/Albert I believe. We never really hear mention of the other 3 siblings. Well I certainly hadn't until the Princess Michael revelatory moment.

Tinselette1940 · 22/01/2020 14:58

Ah, you were referring to a poster. Sorry.

MaisWeee · 22/01/2020 14:58

@Tinselette - whatever you're referring to, no I'm not quoting any film. Lol.

Tinselette1940 · 22/01/2020 14:58

Wasn't one Prince John, poor love?

GracefulHippo · 22/01/2020 15:00

I still think the Sussex Royal with a crown over the initials is a bit dodgy... I thought there were restrictions on using a crown and the name Royal in general. I think one of the queens advisors was uncertain as well.

How would it work if the Sussex Royal account posted a picture of M wearing an Omega watch whilst being brand representative for example? On a page with “Royal” and a crown...? Even if Omega has good values etc, it looks like an endorsement. But maybe I just need a big coffee, just realised I haven’t had a coffee yet!

7Worfs · 22/01/2020 15:00

klaxon 🚨

SussexRoyal has reached 11 million subscribers, same as the Cambridges’. Let’s see how it’s celebrated.

MrsDoubtTried · 22/01/2020 15:01

Good Catholic families they were wink

Are you quite sure about that?😳

MrsDoubtTried · 22/01/2020 15:03

Ten Cambridge subscribers are worth more than that frothy 11 million.

Pfft

MaisWeee · 22/01/2020 15:03

@Tinselette1940 Somebody helpfully posted an organogram type thingy. If they're about, they might post it again. I need to visually see something to understand sometimes. I didn't really check the names of the five siblings. Just the father of the fella married to Princess Michael.

SingingLily · 22/01/2020 15:05

Good Catholic families they were Wink

My feelings, entirely, MrsDoubtTried.

I hope to God we don't have to wade through another 50 posts explaining such a fundamental misunderstanding to the poster concerned.

As Mustress so eloquently puts it - Sheesh.
