Harry and Meghan - "It Has Come To This"

These are the words of Prince Harry. He sounded defeated. He has lost his military patronages. He is no longer living anywhere near his brother or father. He is moving to Canada.

Meanwhile, Meghan has been photographed in the park, with Archie and the dogs, beaming. It seems that she alerted the paparazzi herself. Meghan has truly got what Meghan wants.

I wonder what they said to one another when he got back?

Ha! Scolded twice on the same thread now.

And no I won’t be returning to my sling library as I have fucked off Canada to walk my dogs in peace because no one has asked if I’m ok Crown Wink

Anyone who has ever breastfed in an Ergobaby carrier can recognise that is what she must have been doing just before the photos were taken.

I seriously doubt that. I think it's far more likely that's she's moved Archie out of the way for the photo. It would be very impressive for her to have managed to maintain breastfeeding after long and repeated absences, even if she was pumping.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 21/01/2020 16:57

I think they would have found life back in the UK more private...........but less lucrative.

I think the photos today demonstrate how much they may come to miss the UK press code around the royal family - in all the years since Prince George was born, I don’t think I’ve seen a non-approved photo published of those children in the mainstream UK media. That’s because over the years an agreement has been reached between the media and the RF to ensure the media can still provide coverage while giving the family some semblance of privacy, especially the children.

The only non-approved photos of those children appear on non-British websites and I suspect the RF aggressively works to get them down. Even though the Daily Mail is bad, I don’t think they’d publish a random shot of W&Ks children without agreement (I don’t regularly read it though, so correct me if I’m wrong!).

Contrast this with today - clearly papped shots of Meghan and the baby. That just wouldn’t have happened here I don’t believe - any photographer that did that would have been (a) removed and (b) not got their photos published. Now it’s a free for all and I wonder if it will be worse for them overall...

Let’s hope that Harry puts a stop to all these silly shenanigans

Oh, gawd, yeah, because he's such an imposing figure who commands respect and leadership wherever he goes [falls over laughing]. 'I'm gonna sue you! Waaa! Gimme money.'

MurrayTheMonk · 21/01/2020 17:07

Just been on the news that they are considering legal action about the pictures today.

Oh I'm a bit late with the scoopGrin

VivaLeBeaver · 21/01/2020 17:08

How can they take legal action against photos in a public place? Are they on another planet?

katiegoestoaldi · 21/01/2020 17:12

Anything to keep themselves relevant? No press is bad press?

And tbh, there's a massive section of society who won't question and will just believe their narrative. So they'll get away with it

eminencegrise · 21/01/2020 17:12

Yes. Planet Entitlement. 'I'm not thriving, dammit! Gimme money!'

MurrayTheMonk · 21/01/2020 17:14

But why go for a walk in a public park if you are trying to lie low. I'm not saying they must never ever go out, but it's day one of Harry being there-it's a big story-give it a week or two if you are that bothered surely? Hang out in the big mansion... no big deal.

1forAll74 · 21/01/2020 17:16

Well I wouldn't mind living in Vancouver. I lived in the Usa for three years way way way back, we lived over the border in the Usa, about 100 miles from Vancouver, it's a great city. But I wasn't followed by the media of course.

Who knows how the pair will go on over there, we will still be seeing lots of photo's of them I suspect, despite them wanting privacy,

On a funnier note, I read something on here last week, that Meghan had been approached by some film production bloke, who wanted her to join his porn business, not apparently to be a porn star. but on the business side of things. !

*Chinaisvast

I cannot believe anyone thought that YouTube clip was real!*
That really made me laugh. A lot of overdue specsavers apts here! 😂😂😂

MarshaBradyo · 21/01/2020 17:23

They’ve got to go outside but they might find the arrangement with U.K. press since Diana better for the dc.

Parker231 · 21/01/2020 17:24

@TeaLibrary - what has she done to court press hounding ? Everyone is entitled to go for a walk in peace.

How can you call someone vile when you don’t know them or have any evidence that they have done anything wrong?

eminencegrise · 21/01/2020 17:28

God, yes, the press was just hounding, that's why she was smiling right at the cameras.

AutumnCrow · 21/01/2020 17:29

I can't quite believe I had to type "Ken's Kebabs' on a thread about the monarchy, but these are uncharted waters now.

Fun fact: Ken's Kebabs also do pizzas.

WineOrGinOrBoth · 21/01/2020 17:29

I no Meghan fan but calling her a vile person Tea is not on.

I Think what Peter Philips is doing is wrong but he isn’t on the public payroll AFAIK
