Does this look a ridiculous baby sling or is MM cack handed?

This just looks really uncomfortable for MM and her son? Does she have it on right? I had one of those babybjorns and it seemed a lot of less strappy and one sided than this contraption?

Some of the stuff that MN has allowed to stand is astonishing. I was also told that it was just being moved to the royal section. Oh and that it's being allowed to stand as there's a lot of interest in them at the moment.

I have no idea why people feel the need to make stuff up to suit their agenda, then state it as fact:

Good lord, the woman is looking right at the camera and the person filming is a great distance away. She knew she was being video recorded and was smiling to pretend she was much happier now she was rid of the British Isles. It looks like she grabbed the little nipper, stuffed him into the sling and dashed out to rendezvous with the photographer.

That post is well into the realms of bonkers.

bookworm14 · 22/01/2020 08:53

One of the funniest things about this is the sling bashing. I always thought of MN as very pro sling. But then Meghan does it and this place turns into a bugaboo sales forum

Absolutely this! Where have all the ardent ‘baby-wearers’ who think buggies stunt babies’ emotional development disappeared to? Of course if Meghan had been pictured pushing a buggy, all the harpies would be shrieking about how awful that is instead.

This thread gets worse and worse.

Some of you need to go back and read your posts. And look to yourselves on how you judge people. Try and look for a positive why don't you, it might make you live a more decent kind life.

Sh05 · 22/01/2020 09:22

I never mastered the sling , I tried a few different ones but could never get it comfortable. My dd seemed comfortable enough in it but I always felt I was hunching my shoulders and so felt stiff when I took it off.
Baby Archie looks like he's sleeping so however it looks, hes definitely comfortable

Roussette · 22/01/2020 09:30

MustangsDraggedMeAwa In case you were in any doubt, my last post was directed at you amongst others. What on earth is going on in your life that you can be like this?

You know she didn't breastfeed do you? Bollocks.

As for this little gem of yours, I am repeating it, to show how ridiculous this thread is. Any excuse to stick the boot in to MM with wild assumptions.

Poor little kid can't even see where he's going. And his balls are being pinched

Equanimitas · 22/01/2020 10:05

Poor little kid can't even see where he's going.

If he was in a buggy, this post would say "Poor little kid can't see his mum".

Geoffreythecat · 22/01/2020 10:15

These threads remind me of Diana. The photos of her thighs and the endless debates about whether she had cellulite or not.

Iamagree · 22/01/2020 10:18

This does look like a ridiculous and unpleasant thread about someone who none of us knows personally and who has done nothing against any one of us.

bookworm14 · 22/01/2020 11:43

It is also extremely reminiscent of the treatment of Wallis Simpson:

“Wallis was perceived to be pursuing Edward for his money; his equerry wrote that she would eventually leave him, "having secured the cash". The future prime minister Neville Chamberlain (then Chancellor of the Exchequer) wrote in his diary that she was "an entirely unscrupulous woman who is not in love with the King but is exploiting him for her own purposes. She has already ruined him in money and jewels ..."

Isn’t it depressing how little has changed in almost 90 years?

theendoftheendoftheend · 22/01/2020 11:44

I don't think Diana and Meghan are all that comparable, Diana was thrust into the limelight, young and unexperienced, in an unhappy marriage. Meghan is a lot older, has experience of being famous, has a team around her, happily married etc.

LaurieMarlow · 22/01/2020 11:58

That’s very interesting. And that turned out to be a long and happy marriage.

Roussette · 22/01/2020 12:12

And that turned out to be a long and happy marriage

God no. She ended up hating him, belittling him, she had affairs, she never wanted him to abdicate etc etc.

LaurieMarlow · 22/01/2020 12:21

Oh I didn’t realise (wasn’t covered in The Crown Blush)

roisinagusniamh · 22/01/2020 12:25

Indeed it was far from a happy marriage.....but having sacrificed so much for her he had no real option but to stick with it!

DesLynamsMoustache · 22/01/2020 12:28

There is some amount of shite on this thread. My DD is almost a year and I still carry her in a baby carrier. I like having my hands free when out with the dog so I can hold a lead without manoeuvring a pram.

As for the breastfeeding stuff, absolute speculative bollocks.

Christ no wonder they're out of here.

MrsDoubtTried · 22/01/2020 12:53

The Windsors certainly did not have a “long and happy marriage.” (It pays not to rely on drama for your information.) I’m sure the Duke rued the day he met her and privately chided himself for his lack of backbone.

PortiaCastis · 22/01/2020 12:54

I'm quite sure they didn't tell the internet about their marriage so nobody really knows

MrsDoubtTried · 22/01/2020 12:55

I sincerely hope Harry does not do the same.

slipperywhensparticus · 22/01/2020 12:56

I'm not even sure if she is breastfeeding?

I'm absolutely sure it's none of my business

LaurieMarlow · 22/01/2020 12:59

I sincerely hope Harry does not do the same.

Harry's a grown man and can make his own decisions.

Buggedandconfused · 22/01/2020 13:02

Christ not another one @mnhq

Get a life people!!! So sad you even feel the need to post this.

MrsDoubtTried · 22/01/2020 13:03

He’s still probably on a steep learning curve...

raviolidreaming · 22/01/2020 13:04

  • and the desperation for her not to be breastfeeding because it'll be difficult to frame that as wrong.

This thread is horrendous.

LaurieMarlow · 22/01/2020 13:06

He’s still probably on a steep learning curve

Aren't we all?

However most of us don't have strangers who've never met us and know nothing about us, sticking their oar in with their unsolicited views, opinions and concerns. Lucky us.

LaurieMarlow · 22/01/2020 13:07

and the desperation for her not to be breastfeeding because it'll be difficult to frame that as wrong

I know right? Beyond pathetic.
