We've jogged along for ten threads now and usually the dissentient voices are from people who believe that we are only interested in bashing MM.

"I'm sorry, but this shite about electric cars and garlic is a load of bollocks and rather annoying for some of us who want to stay on topic."

I agree.

"It was not I who brought electric cars to the table." It could have been someone getting the wrong thread. Why keep it going? Maiswee is right. It's annoying.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 20/01/2020 00:32

Then don't read them.

MaisWeee · 20/01/2020 00:33

I think she's too selfish personally to have another child. She's mother to a royal (even if they divorced - Archie will still be in line to the throne). That's all she cares about I'd wager.

MrsHuggettandMichaelCaine4Ever · 20/01/2020 00:33

Yes to wild garlic emoji but I don't have a fancy phone to click on it.

Harry does need a big hug and some much needed therapy even if it's just a sounding board. Even Diana had James Hewitt's mum and would curl up in the country and feel 'at home' and talk. Harry needs someone that is completely impartial to listen and give him head space. A bolt hole with no agenda.

annielouise · 20/01/2020 00:34

"Then don't read them." Excuse me? I think I can agree with someone it's boring and distracting. Posts filled with lame jokes about garlic.

I have watched Harry’s speech now and I took from it that he is saying it’s the media that led to his decision to step back. For media, I read tabloid press. I agree the tabloid press have hounded MM this last year - I for my sins occasionally have read the DM articles on MM this past year and they did become incredibly vitriolic. I think the nasty nature of our tabloid press is grim generally. I also recall the tabloid press have been vitriolic to other Royal family members over the years Kate Middleton got a lot of criticism for many years, as did Fergie in the 90s and Camilla. Both Camilla and Kate though said nothing, ploughed through and the tabloids treat them v differently now..

One Royal Correspondent claimed Harry frequently read the btl comments on the tabloid’s nasty articles and they advised Harry it was not healthy. I can’t help but wonder if H and M were able to ignore the nasty tabloid press coverage, eventually the tabloids possibly would dial it down, as they did with other royal family members eventually.

However, who am I to say H and M should wait it out in the hope the tabloid coverage would improve, it obviously was too much for H and M. Whether it’s true or not as Di’s driver on the night of the fatal accident was drunk, H is known to believe the press’s hounding of his mother was a key factor in leading to her fatal car accident and would explain why the vitriolic tabloid coverage of another person he loved this year meant it was too much for him.

Blind Gossip articles are amusing but I would take a lot of them with a pinch of salt. Perhaps MM is secretly obsessing over their social media numbers and harbours a desire to be a mega rich global power broker, or perhaps it’s all made up to give Blind Gossip articles. How do sources know such facts? Presuming the main driver is Harry’s hatred of the media plus other contributing factors such as possibly MM finding it hard to settle I feel I can only wish them the best and it will work out for them.

Yes I believe pale varnish is required for senior working royals.
Something like Ballet Shoes which I think Kate wears too. Forget make.

Essie Ballet Slippers. The Queen wears it herself. It was Her Maj who recommended it to me. 😂

annielouise · 20/01/2020 00:35

And nail varnish. Yawn.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 20/01/2020 00:36

No some enjoy them. You find them lame. You are not the only people on the thread are you? Or are you?

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 20/01/2020 00:36

The only people that matter on the thread

katiegoestoaldi · 20/01/2020 00:37

Does anyone remember the movie King Ralph with John Goodman? Can you imagine if it played out in real life with King Archie brought over from the states instead?

PattiPrice · 20/01/2020 00:37

I think I can agree with someone it's boring and distracting. Posts filled with lame jokes about garlic

Oh are those posts supposed to be funny? There is a lot of rubbish on these threads, I just skip past them. As the saying goes “Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience".

Just ignore them.

MaisWeee · 20/01/2020 00:41

I wonder when will Harry fly off for good? I'd say it's soon - next couple of days I'd reckon? Has he any other engagements this side of the atlantic? I'm sure he's missing Archie.

TheMustressMhor · 20/01/2020 00:41

Oh I see, @AlexaAmbidextra.

That's where the nail varnish reference came from.

I had actually thought that someone was on the wrong thread.

Just hope Harry finds a really good therapist in Canada. If they can afford one, that is...

Andylion · 20/01/2020 00:42

Then don't read them.

it's very hard to not read such posts. You can't hide them the way you can hide an entire thread.

TheMustressMhor · 20/01/2020 00:42

Are you okay, MaisWeee?

OP posts:
MaisWeee · 20/01/2020 00:43

How old is Archie now? Soon to be taking first steps/first words. Harry won't want to miss that!

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 20/01/2020 00:45

He'll be living in an echo chamber with no one to offer any counterbalance.

I bet the narrative he gets fed is about how his nasty family have treated him so horribly taking away his beloved charities...so dysfunctional a family they are...look what they've done to you...just like they isolated your mother...same thing being done to you now...that's why we need to protect A from such a nasty family dynamic...not safe...victim victim....lalala

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 20/01/2020 00:47

mais I think he'll be gone in a few days at most. He needs her support if nothing else.

TheMustressMhor · 20/01/2020 00:49

Over and out.

But then sometimes it takes that distance to see (albeit eventually) what he is losing. He may well have to just find out for himself sometimes the best way to learn a lesson is the hard way.

MaisWeee · 20/01/2020 00:52

Yes, I think his family will have been trying to advise him against this, but at the end of the day, what can they do but support him. Be there if he needs them further down the line I guess.

DandyAndFine · 20/01/2020 00:56

These threads move so fast I didn't even bother trying to keep up with the last one, nor have I read much of this one, so have no idea what the wild garlic joke is. And that's ok Wink

I am interested to see when Harry will fly out to join Meghan and Archie. It's all quite extraordinary.
