I'm not tall enough to be a model or flight attendant, don't have the A levels to study as a Dr/vet for example.

What shall we call the new thread?

I'm wondering if things will quieten down for a bit now that Harry has arrived to put the brakes on and get them back onto the track they BOTH supposedly want to be on. Then gradually start creeping back up again.

I know that her half sister Samantha comes across as another unhinged Markle ( and she changed her surname back to that one after being something else for years) but she did beg Harry to think twice about the wedding etc.
At the time I was ' team Meghan ' but now it makes you wonder if she may have had a point rather than jealousy or sour grapes. She did hint she would struggle to fit in with the role and wasn't on the level , but nobody really believed her. Her dad seems a sad sorry character I think : out of his depth at the time near the wedding and manipulated by the press. I'm glad he stayed away in the end. He would have struggled unlike her mum who just got on with it.
Her family will be a thorn in her side still ; now she is over in North America I think they will up the ante. Already starting with her dad going on tv for an interview. Then some others might appear too.
I think this ' quiet life' idea won't last long.
Even if this is what she wants. Harry will hate the intrusions as well I would imagine esp if he doesn't court it as she might do at first.
Have to see how it pans out.

Thomas Markle's speech seemed quite slurred to me in the clip I watched. I assumed from this that he was not in the best of health and possibly quite vulnerable himself. Not the best time to give interviews with the potential spectacularly to backfire.

Rousette nobody is forcing you to look at this thread, or the new one, but I am going to hazard a guess that you will post on it anyway.

Rousette, I agree there isn't any more to say then you see a picture of her and him and it starts up again. I like to think I'm not bitchy on these threads ; I am a bit critical but I also respect their decisions, but what we do debate are her motives I think as what we see and what is said seem to be different entities! It will all die down a lot , then there will be something else in the press and it will go on. I still think her family will cause problems for her still ; she won't be able to keep them quiet that much.

Rousette, Meghan is nearly forty - so hardly qualifies to be called "young" - and if you read the threads you will see that their intention is not to pick on her, but to discuss what is happening.

I feel she is courting the press over there.
It's a dangerous game and one she shouldn't do but it seems weird how relaxed she looks ; normally if they don't want the publicity they generally look very stressed and not smiling or even worried.

She does look remarkably relaxed.

I hope they don't split up or divorce mostly because the speculation will be huge and too many people saying ' I told you so'
