However, now the talks are done, she should have come to be with him, especially today. Watching him struggle through that speech you feel what this is costing him and I am not his partner, but even I feel he needs someone to give him a hug.

But yeah, maybe he wants it that way. But it's totally shite IMO. You don't leave your lover to face something like this alone. Let alone approve his vulnerability being splashed all over instagram.

Initially I thought there would be another pregnancy very soon to cement her position. However now I think she’s getting herself primed and into as marketable shape as she can for all the ‘work’ she thinks she’s going to be doing. Touting herself round, getting lots of publicity , talking to the right people etc. She’s just lost the baby weight and has flown in her Pilates instructor. Another pregnancy too soon would not be great for that.
She is very very image conscious and wants to be looking her best.

She may have another baby as a way of killing the media storm, it doesn't look good to be seen to be giving lots of bad press to a woman when she's pregnant and vulnerable

But then, she may want to hit the ground running while they're still in the headlines and their names are hot. If she is the rumoured partner in Misha Nonoos new collection, she's going to want to keep her figure

I don't think she's going to get pregnant again soon, unless she thinks Harry is getting cold feet and she wants to make sure he stays put

I genuinely think they thought they could have it all.

The only thing H didn't consider was that in reality he was the only one with skin in the game and he's come away with a bloody massive graze.

He's lost his military positions, living in the U.K. (with access to friends/family and his support network) and a hell of a lot of goodwill - all for him and M to do paid Netflix voiceovers and "thrive" with the power couples.

All I can say is that I hope it's worth it.

So, now we have an actress with a (previous) C level career (no high profile movie roles and only one starring role in a cable TV show) and a man with no solid career qualifications. Where will they go from here?

Harry could end up in paid Board of Director positions for various charities and Corporations. No 'duties' and he wouldn't directly be hawking products. But the Corp gets to put 'The Duke of Sussex' on the corporate letterhead.

Meghan and 'voice-over'. Hmm well, things appear such that the 'Firm' may retain a bit of (financial) 'pressure' to put to bear on what roles she could accept. She wouldn't (I assume) be able to accept a role in which she would be seen as less than 'a very nice person'. Thus, voice-over and especially, v-o for Disney. Bound to be 'family fare'. Personally, I think if either or both have career aspirations, they didn't get exactly what they want out of this 'deal' with the RF.

But if their plans are an early 'retirement' and a quiet life doing 'good works', then they've struck gold.

IMO, Harry would have been happy with the latter. But I don't think Meghan would be.

I found that speech incredibly sad. It sounds like he is stuck between a rock and a hard place - not allowed to continue his duties which is all he has ever known, if he is to be able to be with his family in Canada and fulfill his wife's wishes to have control over her life and what she did with it.

I really hope the rumours about his relationship with the PoW breaking down aren't true.

Well for me it all hangs on what happens when philip dies. If she comes back and supports the family I think there's a chance for the marriage. If she doesn't come back a divorce is certain. Of course who knows when that might be.

Re why Meghan isn’t there supporting him.. I was reading an account of what her marriage to Trevor was like. Apparently they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Always fawning over him and saying how she couldn’t live without him. Once Suits came along she just found it wasn’t convenient anymore and dumped him.
I do wonder if she actually understands what love is. He really loves her. She maybe loves what he represents or can do for her. He isn’t much use to her now .If she truly loves him she’d be there, no matter how uncomfortable it may be for her.

It doesn't sound like there has been enough ground work for his own career: just theirs as a couple or worse just hers. I worry he is becoming subsumed into her. He needs identity. After I heard Nicholas Witchell's statement I thought Harry, with all his best intentions to Meghan, has gone from the frying pan into the fire.. and not a scrap of wild garlic in sight.

Free foraging in the woods is only a partial explanation for the delicacies on display and now you would have us all believe that Mr Mhor happily goes foraging for freebies without the protection of a dog, but with one of two cats in tow and all ostensibly with the approval of the rest of the members of the village council?
