It is a sad speech. He has given up so much. Seems as though Meghan has never been happy and I wonder why, what she expected ? Surely she could have refused to read the press, taken good advice from experienced staff, and family members like Camilla, and kept her head down ?
I have started to think that she hated the whole lifestyle from the off, didn’t like living here, didn’t like the job, found being pregnant tricky, and has blamed all of that entirely on the press/British public. The press have given every female RF member in particular a hard time, there is clearly misogyny there, but she had the huge white wedding and then barely gave the job a chance. I think she fell for the dream but hated the reality. I hope she really loves Harry, but I do wonder.

I do think Harry wrote his speech. Meghan's style is a lot more elaborate, says a lot, imparts nothing. Harry's feels heartfelt.

I can't decide if it's petulant or just very, very sad. I hope she loves him as much as he does her. They're going to need each other.
