We've seen over the last few weeks that his judgement's severely lacking, but with this latest whine I thought, frankly, that he sounded deranged

So it looks as if the media has maybe been kind to Harry and glossed over what he says and does because he’s ‘the lovely wee lad who lost his mum’.

Gloves are off now then - if his speech was that terrible then that’s probably how he usually is but with a free pass.

Certainly, Meghan isn't happy with the outcome, as she very obviously wrote the speech Harry gave.

He really is a terrible public speaker , isn't e? Even with a script he isn't fluent or interesting.

And he expects to make ££ as an orator?

I know I have said that I don't think he'll be happy whatever happens, but is that really how he wants to be remembered? Complaining? Talk about being your own worst enemy, he's making some pretty poor decisions at the moment and the break can't come soon enough for him. Doesn't want to talk to the press so uses a speech where he can't be questioned.

Let's hope it works out for him in the long run.

Ok to be fair he looks very stressed and upset by it all, and it can't have been easy to turn up for the event. But I can't for the life of me fathom what he thought was going to happen?

If ever there was a time when MM was going to leave the baby with the babysitter tonight was it. He looks like he needed her support and she ought to have been there. He's just undergone a major shift to his reality.

I guess the equivalent would be a doctor losing their right to practice or something, but still keeping the right to advise. What do you do? You're no longer able to do the thing you put tons of your life into.

We have a mini hybrid and it’s quite fast. They are all very expensive cars though. The majority just don’t go far enough without charging. Most decent ones cost a LOT!

Dinner this evening chez Mhor included roast duck, sweet chilli sauce with fresh wild garlic, saute potatoes, fried mushrooms, broccoli and onions lightly fried in butter.

bloody hell mustress you are pushing the boat out!! that sounds bloody delish. (have to say we had roast chicken, roasties, cauliflower cheese, green beans and yorkies plus stuffing and bread sauce for lunch but it's not about ME is it?!)

Having actually watched the speech I feel very sorry for him. I think he’s really struggling. I think he’s very apprehensive about the move and conflicted in himself. I think he feels he has no other option because otherwise he will lose his wife and child. If only she’d had a bit more backbone and stuck it out for longer.
I really hope it works out for them but fear he will come seriously unstuck.
I think he speaks well enough, he’s clearly emotional and struggling. I prefer his style to Meghan’s polished insincerity anyway.
What a sad state of affairs. His role in supporting ex military has given him a purpose and a sense of having value. He just won’t be able to do that outside the RF and from another country.

I’m sure the audience, those helping victims of extreme poverty and the HIV/AIDS epidemic as well as many people directly affected too, were filled with empathy when hearing the Prince didn’t get the exact deal he wanted.

It’s the SA documentary ‘nobody asked if I was ok’ all over again. They sure know how to pick their moments.

Harry definitely doesn't seem ok.
But I'm pleased that he's got Mark Dyer with him for support.
Though agree with Catherine that Meghan should have been there with him tonight.

I didn't know you could get hybrid minis, and will discuss this with dh who only likes toyotas. This is the gift that keeps on giving, I'm leaning a lot.

I wonder if he touted for business after his speech? Maybe a duet with Lewis Capaldi who was apparently there?
