Just seeing if there’s any interest. I think they have their faults but I think this may turn out to be a good thing long term. Anyone want to join in?

It does seem I was mistaken but why on earth set up an account in the first place?

I do agree but it's a shame people on other threads don't take that attitude.

Isn't setting up a fake email address in the Duchess name a bit iffy, why on earth would you do something like that, is it even legal!

I wish them well. They never did anything to offend me & have done or said many admirable things.

Not interested in royals but, if any of us were Meghan, how happy would we be to bring our child up here, given the vitriol and racism expressed about her? Good luck to them all.

I think they have done the only thing that they really can to try and save their sanity and protect their child. I wish them well.

The press have behaved appallingly towards them and the rest of the royals have certainly been sluggish at best about trying to shut down the vitriol and racism that has been aimed at them (particularly at Meghan). Even their baby was referred to as a chimpanzee. Even after that I don't recall any statements being released by other senior royals offering any support or help to deal with it.

Harry has disliked the press for most of his life, especially after the death of his mother. So long before Meghan came onto the scene. It is no secret that he fears that history may repeat itself to whatever degree here.

Their marriage must be under huge strain due to press intrusion and the type of vitriol being spouted by vicious twats on here. I'm amazed that MNHQ seem to be allowing the worst of the threads (with the behaviour on them) to stand.

Piers Morgan is the most vile of twats. He needs to crawl back under his stone and never emerge again. I've no idea how he still has a job and is still being given platforms from which to spout his bile. Just shut the arsewipe down.

I've been shocked by the numbered threads about H&M because they state opinions /views as though they were facts ,repeat them endlessly and use them to support highly critical statements about the couple .

There seems to be no regard for the truth or considering any view that doesn't support their hatred of M .

So yes I'd like a thread coming from a different angle .But the tone and numbers of posters ranting away as their fevered imaginations go into overdrive makes me think that they'll all just pile on to a thread like this and carry on with their madness .

But really I'd like a thread to discuss the nation taking back the land and assets currently in the stewardship of the monarch and Prince of Wales ,and us having a Rf that consists only of a monarch +1 and their immediate offspring who carry out a few ceremonial duties .

And good luck to Harry and Meghan in trying to get away ,have a bit more autonomy ,become less financially dependent while not turning their back on the family and their duties .

I completely agree and yes I do think some of the vitriol spewed on here is foul!

The royal family needs a revamp anyway - it’s a ridiculous organisation - they should have normal jobs and earn their own money - similar to the Swedish royal family!

Anything to do with the royals should be ceremonial only !

This is a step in the right direction - and I think meg and Harry are absolutely right to not want to bring their son up in such a horrible institution!

Thank you for the thread. The press here are absolutely disgusting and those other threads are awful. Like PP's have said, there's lots of people stating their opinion as fact to back their agenda (Meghan smiling 'smugly' in pap pics wtf).

I think that other than those likely to become King or Queen, there should be a change and that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may be setting a welcome precedent.

Second sons or daughters have had no real role since King George VI. It was never easy for Princess Margaret and the less said about the Duke of York, the better.

Not English so cannot relate to English culture in relation to the royal family but cannot remotely understand why there seems to be much more fuss about this than the allegations against Prince Andrew.

I think you only have to look at the batshit threads on here to understand why they’ve chosen to leave. Some people have way too much time and latent outrage. The fake email thing was fucking ludicrous and that poster should be ashamed.

And as for Piers Morgan- I wouldn’t want my child in the same country as him; he’s dangerous. Meghan is only doing what we all would have done.

Harry does weird things to people- I think he’s inherited so much of princess di’s charisma and charm that some stupid people feel a kind of obsessive ownership of him. It’s sinister and he is wise to run away. Good luck team Sussex and best wishes to you all!

To be fair Brexit you can’t know that. You can say they haven’t used the press to communicate with them, or about them but you can’t know what’s happening in private.

I don't think Meghan copped it any worse that any of the others who have married in since about the 1980s
