I can imagine that M & H did a big presentation on why they simply had to live in Windsor, thinking the Queen would be thrilled to provide them with a home in the Castle. But she didn't see it that way, and offered Frogmore. They assumed it was the House, and it was only when they'd happily accepted, they realised it was the rather unappealling cottage. Must be so dark in there.

How did they cope

Well they didn't, since as soon as the £2,400,000 was spent, Meghan decided she didn't actually want to live there after all.

Meghan has a cat. But we're not allowed to know about it. What it looks like. Or what it's name is. Because that would be an invasion of her privacy.

You probably knew she had a dog. But not a cat. You probably think she doesn't have a cat. And I am lying my teeth off. Women like Meghan don't tote around handbags the size of small country with no reason. She has a cat, I tell you.

They do own some beautiful homes. Maybe Meghan saw all the other places then they said ' it's Frogmore cottage' and the writing was on the wall ever since!

Hmmm.

I wonder if M felt insulted by Frogmore Cottage? Thought she was getting (or should get) the very grand Frogmore House?

Your summary is totally on the nail. There are so many instances of her rude, ‘me, me ,me’ behaviour. The warning lights went on for me right from the beginning. What I don’t understand is why Harry doesn’t ever say’ wait a minute, I’m talking’ . She has his remote control in her hand and he responds instantly.
I agree they have nothing of substance to offer. I really hope people in Canada and the US see her for what she is.

Why can't they tell us the dogs name?
We know the names of Williams dogs ( I believe) but their dogs have a super injunction against them ( probs) and its all a mystery. Maybe they just call it 'dog'?

The reason I thought for them moving out to Frogmore was to get away from the rest of the RF members who live there. Too close for comfort as far as M was concerned. She wanted her own stately pile with beautiful grounds as close to Windsor as possible. Only they probably found it too noisy and the neighbours too close.

yes I have often thought that they may have misunderstood what they were being offered. They thought that they had been offered the very impressive and glamorous Frogmore House - but realised too late it was the cottage ... but by then the remedial structural work had started ....

Well, you know, as there are no real royal duties to perform in Canada, I think the Canadians will soon get sick of them.

But I think Canada is just a staging-post for Meghan anyway. She really wants to get to LA.

I do not understand the mentality of people who think that George Clooney/Elton John/Oprah Winfrey are so bloody interesting, and fawn over them.

I think they are supremely dull.

Diana would have understood the etiquette anyway. Her father was Equerry to the Queen and her grandmother was lady in waiting to the QM. She grew up visiting Sandringham. Her family were blue bloods. Her schooling such as it was was designed to produce wives for rich men.
Meghan on the other hand came from a completely different background.
Kate has been to a private school and a prestigious University. She has had a comfortable middle class upbringing in a stable family with two parents.

She read too many fairy tale books as a kid ( or watched too many Disney films)!

Although saying this she didn't know who he was ( allegedly) , but anyone introduced as ' Prince someone or other ' would do!

Diana used to call the RF the ‘Germans’ .Which they are.
