Previous thread

I’m not the original OP of the series. That credit must go to @TheMustressMhor
I just stepped in when the last thread filled up with no replacement

There is still an appetite for discussion / gossip depending on your POV.
I asked for MN to put it in the Royal Family topic as the subject is no longer headline news; but still ticking along. I think those people who are interested will find it and add their comments regardless of its location.

So in answer to a couple of posts.

Frogmore - as I understood it, no staff were chucked out. It was pretty shabby and on the "renovations" list. The thing that may have changed is that it would have been updated still as apartments rather than a large house. However, when H&M made it clear they didn't want to be at KP (for whatever reason - this baffles me, why would they not prefer a massive apartment in London to a house in the sticks under a flight path) Frogmore because an obvious option.

Celebrity comments - yes I noticed that it was all a bit quiet on that front. I suspect that most of them (especially the Brits with an eye on a knighthood/damehood ) are not keen to blot their copy book and others are waiting to see how this all pans out....

The Sussex Instagram - to begin with you could see negative comments being quickly deleted. As stands, whoever is in charge of their SM has worn out their finger from hitting the delete key thousands of times or something else is at play (suggests "look at all this negativity/nastiness- this is exactly why we need to get away). Though given quite a few comments are from Canadians (saying what makes you think we wants you here/ come but don't expect us to pay / insulted at being used as a staging post to the US) then I can't see how that works - plus the obvious that you can't emigrate from SM....

On past performance husbands seem to be expendable once they’ve served their purpose. I don’t think she’s going to want anything more that makes it more difficult to dispense with Harry when the time comes. So my money’s on no more babies.

scaryteacher · 15/01/2020 18:14

morning It's about Invictus 2020 and 2022. The Hague and then Dusseldorf.

SerenDippitty · 15/01/2020 18:14

I think that the current situation could have been avoided if Meghan had had a formal induction programme. I don't think she really understood the difference between what US A+ list celebrities can do and what is expected as a publicly funded royal

I agree. An induction programme would have been a good idea.

DeRigueurMortis · 15/01/2020 18:18

Lunde I agree and think the Swedes idea of Prince/princess "school" is a very good one.

Most especially the concept (aside from the training itself) that there's absolutely no way anyone can say they didn't know what they were getting into.

anonacfr · 15/01/2020 18:18

Have they changed their Instagram account?
I can't find it anymore.

Froq · 15/01/2020 18:19

I read elsewhere that MM’s pr team scheduled 3 ‘leaked’ stories per day to appear in the press. The stories related to her wonderful relationship with PH, amazing style or kind charity work.

I’m sorry but you can’t then complain about press attention. Especially when it looks as though she’s now arranging it in Canada too, after escaping the awful and racist UK (“oh crumbs, they snapped me quietly boarding a seaplane and doing my bit for a women’s refuge (what bit?)).

I’ve always been pretty neutral about the RF. Eg I enjoyed watching the weddings and ceremonies but would rather our tax was spent elsewhere. But the H&M stuff has been difficult to avoid and the kind of behaviour they’re displaying is just a piss take now.

MrsBrentford · 15/01/2020 18:21

I followed their Instagram but now am not following them but didn’t “unfollow” them myself Confused

I did right a negative remark (which was not rude).

TheMustressMhor · 15/01/2020 18:23

MrsBrentford I am shocked.

MrsBrentford · 15/01/2020 18:24

MrsBrentford · 15/01/2020 18:25

@TheMustressMhor

That is wasn’t rude? Or that I followed them?! Grin

TheMustressMhor · 15/01/2020 18:29

That it was negative MrsBrentford.

Surely nothing about the Sussexes could be negative/

Are you ok?

DeRigeur: "However, when H&M made it clear they didn't want to be at KP (for whatever reason - this baffles me, why would they not prefer a massive apartment in London to a house in the sticks under a flight path) Frogmore because an obvious option."

I speculated on an earlier thread that they might have wanted to be close to Heathrow to pop in and out of the country whenever they liked without being noticed so much. If they lived at KP, all the staff at KP would be keeping track of their comings and goings plus driving in to London would mean they'd be seen. Frogmore has their own staff and close to Heathrow. So if that is the case then they had plans to spend a lot of time outside the country for a while.

GoFiguire · 15/01/2020 18:31

sussex Royal is alive and well and Harry posted a new comment 27 minutes ago.

DeRigueurMortis · 15/01/2020 18:32

Would make sense Annie

MissEliza · 15/01/2020 18:32

Wouldn't it be brilliant getting paid to sit on the internet all day and delete people! Where do you think they advertise those jobs?!

annielouise · 15/01/2020 18:33

I'm starting to wonder if she feels she's out of her depth now. Of course, she'd never admit it and will put on a brave face as she does seem to keep motoring on.

DeRigueurMortis · 15/01/2020 18:33

MissE

In Canada shortly Wink

PlacidPenelope · 15/01/2020 18:33

There seems to be a generally accepted belief that Meghan refused all offers/advice re Royal etiquette and protocol, perhaps 'Prince and Princess School' should be made compulsory. The Swedish system seems like a good idea to me and as someone else said it stops the didn't know what it all entailed excuse.

MissEliza · 15/01/2020 18:35

Just looked at their Instagram profile ( I'm standing in a long supermarket queue). I can't believe how many negative comments there are.

The80sweregreat · 15/01/2020 18:36

Just read that P Harry is delaying his trip back this week. Nobody asked him if he was ' ok' but I assume he is.

DandyAndFine · 15/01/2020 18:37

I know a Russian billionaire who could oblige...

@SingingLily Grin

@The80sweregreat thank you 😊 It came on so quick and then I was under. Even though DH has taken over a lot, If I didn’t have kids and a dog I’d be getting more rest but ...

MrsBrentford · 15/01/2020 18:38

I’m sorry Blush

I am ok though 👍🏻🤣
