Previous thread

I’m not the original OP of the series. That credit must go to @TheMustressMhor
I just stepped in when the last thread filled up with no replacement

There is still an appetite for discussion / gossip depending on your POV.
I asked for MN to put it in the Royal Family topic as the subject is no longer headline news; but still ticking along. I think those people who are interested will find it and add their comments regardless of its location.

"His own grandchildren were the ones who spoke out claiming to have never met him. Maybe they meant they’d never met him as adults, or maybe they simply do not remember meeting him as children."

I believe even though I can't be bothering that was Sam's daughter, not Thomas juniors two sons, who are in the picture I posted to show you make things up.

MorningCalm · 15/01/2020 15:08

This is from DailyMail.

May 10, 2018
According to the defence papers, Mr Markle texted his daughter to say he had dropped off some flowers at her mother's house for Mother's Day. In a touching message, he told Meghan he was excited about trying on some shoes she had bought for him to wear to her wedding. She had also bought him a new suit.

Does it mean that Meghan bought him shoes and a new suit?

"Again, Thomas lied about having been an in-patient at a particular hospital in Mexico. The fact he claims to have paperwork showing he had surgery at some point at a totally different hospital doesn’t prove or disprove anything."

You 100% sure about that? You've Googled and checked different sources and got the most up to date info? Because you haven't done it so far. So much so I consider everything else you say as speaking out your arse.

PlacidPenelope · 15/01/2020 15:09

Oh back off with the ridiculous you must be Samantha Markle nonsense joyfullittlehippo you are making yourself look even more foolish.

You stated unequivocally that Thomas Markle lied about his heart attack, hospitalisation and surgery and you just cannot bear to admit that you were wrong about that.

FFS, if repeating what the international press say without flying thousands of miles to personal verify it makes someone “a liar” you’d have to delete almost every post on here.

Double standards yet again from you, no-one can comment on Meghan because we don't know her personally and only know what we read about her which probably isn't true, but when it comes to Thomas Markle you can believe whatever is written about him and you have no need to verify it because it was in the press....

Any chance of just ignoring joyfull so she stops trying to derail the thread?

annielouise · 15/01/2020 15:14

well said Placid

Hi all. Could we have some peace and love on this thread?
We're getting lots of reports and if it gets any more bunfighty then we'll need to take it down.
Ta in advance.

The fact of such extreme personal abuse and relentless bullying (and lies) for literally no reason reason other than I am a woman of colour defending Evil Meghan proves everything.

Oh dear.

Defend with verifiable facts and admit when you are wrong.

"Do you really not understand what “malicious false reporting” means?"

Do you really not understand that repeating false reports as fact (i.e. gossiping as you've just admitted to doing) - such as he's "literally" never met any of his grandchildren and he faked the hospital stuff - is malicious? It's lazy too.

You were adamant that you were right even though people have blown what you've said to pieces - pure arrogance.

derxa · 15/01/2020 15:19

I have a "brother gone rogue!" My very kind parents not knowing the grandkids was hurtful. So I'm probably a bit more unimpressed by the Sussexes than I might otherwise have been.
I think we all bring our own experiences to bear on this subject. For example my brother fell out with me because he didn't like my DH. And then he died. It was so sad that this rift occurred. William and Harry have lost their close bond and I can relate to that.

PlacidPenelope · 15/01/2020 15:20

And I still see no evidence that Thomas Markle didn’t lie.

Do you really think the lawyers for the MoS would allow documents to be submitted to the High Court if there was the remotest possibility they could be false or forged?

I am entitled to my opinion

Indeed you are but it is wise to check facts that are verifiable.

joyful with respect, my opinion as an outsider is that it is you who has made this thread all about you.

You have asserted X, a few other posters have asserted ‘not X but Y’. This is what happens on MN, it’s commonplace, and it was about facts not the people asserting them. It then got goady on both sides, while still being about the facts, but at no point was there anything to suggest that it was because you’re a WOC, so to accuse the thread of that is unfair.
