......... as Gizmo and Linney almost reach their first anniversary, they reflect on the joys of living in the same hoose.

@Pudmyboy I know what you mean but I would rather she just did not do it at all. Breadcat is scared of birds so no danger of that. I honestly think she thinks the mice are a gift for us.
She has been doing my head in today by staring fixedly at the bookcase in the dining room as if there is something under it. Either still looking for last nights mouse or suggesting there is another. There isn't! I have checked. She is playing mind games the furry menace

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/05/2025 15:37

GT and I are definitely NOT seeing eye to eye...
He makes Gizmo look like a cute kitten

Bloody hell Grumpy!! That is a very angry cat. Maybe TC can come and stay for a few days and teach GT the error of his ways.

I hope your war wound isn't too painful.

ShoutyCatSlave · 22/05/2025 17:00

Eeek! That looks nasty.

Agatha brings me mice, but they don't look chewed / played with; she just leaves corpses on the front or back door mat for me, carefully avoiding any of the easily washed hard floors. I'm dreading the middle of summer when she brings in frogs and toads. They're always live. She does it often enough that I have a special container that I use to scoop them up and redeposit outside. Urghhhhh.

Pianoaholic · 22/05/2025 17:58

I had a scratch like that @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats the first time we had to put flea treatment on Herbie.
Gardening gloves all the way ever since.

Pudmyboy · 22/05/2025 20:12

CrikeyGrumpy I hope you are up to date with your tetanus jabs!
Have to say, excellent picture of an angry cat! Anyone would think you were trespassing on his turf, not the other way around!

Breadcat24 · 22/05/2025 22:42

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats hope that gets better soon

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/05/2025 22:56

Thanks all for the sympathy - to be honest though I've had cats for so long I think I'm inured from feeling any pain from cat scratches 🤣

He is a very angry cat though. I always hope he'll be slightly more pleasant one day...

Pixiedust1234 · 22/05/2025 22:59

Yikes Grumpy! It looks like GC is actually a miniature tiger. He's ferocious! 🙀

Next time get a bullwhip and a chair.

JaceLancs · 22/05/2025 23:51

Finlay is looking a bit of a chunk tonight! It’s all fur - he’s actually a bit on the skinny side with the amount of exercise he gets

I came back from the afternoon tea club (where I won the bingo) to find Picard relaxing outside the house, so I managed to take a picture.

😳😳 What thread is that? Just being nosy, I do like a stroppy poster on a thread.

I think my willing slavery status was confirmed just now when I found myself brushing the shredded pieces of cardboard off the top of Tobias's favorite flat scratcher, so the nice rough corrugations he loves so much weren't covered with soft dross.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 23/05/2025 06:27

You're up early, Allergic.

So am I for once

Very entertaining read. I'm going to nominate that thread for classics. 🤣🤣🤣

It certainly seemed a bit of an overreaction 🤣
The best bit is the double standards from the OP.

Why am I being deleted just for being rude? People on MN are so thin-skinned.

Oh you nasty lot you've hurt my feelings.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 23/05/2025 07:01

Yesterday, someone started a thread about Tess (of the d'Urbervilles) and Angel Clare, but without mentioning the book.

Here is the tenth comment:

"This nonsense should be posted in the TV section"

🤣🤣🤣

Well yes. Somebody in MNHQ has probably even now got their ban hammer hovering over the OP's name, sharpening it, ready to strike.

Not that I'd know anything about such things

BREAKING NEWS
Well now we know.

Telling another poster to 'fuck off' gets your post deleted.
I wouldn't have guessed 😁
