Somebody is stoned out of her tiny kitten mind. Raven is rolling around like a...well, I don't know what, but she is getting silver vine (apparently like catnip) all over her and she's thoroughly enjoying every second of it! The boys were enjoying it too but have backed off and are just watching as madam gets vicious if someone disturbs her high 🤣

Thank you all so much! I was quite unwell when I went in so I have loads of catching up to do but your cat pictures have given me a huge smile :) it was a bit of a trying stay as nothing really got dealt with and the hospital was horribly understaffed, but even in the darkest places there are cats! The lady across from me on the ward was really fretting because her indoor cat wasn’t being fed - she’d been brought in unconscious by ambulance - and me and one of the nurses all compared cat photos and stories! The nurse’s cat can turn on taps! Not sure how he manages that when Velvet can’t even use a catflap properly.
Love the pictures :) I celebrated getting home from hospital by falling spectacularly down the stairs. Poor Velvet was having a look round my room and dashed out to see what the noise was and promptly got blamed for it by my parents! But I’m just clumsy.

Thank you! I was a bit frustrated to be barely patched up and it definitely showed immediately when I fell down the stairs, but they’re so busy at the moment. Anyway, back to Velvet!
I realised when I was showing her off how few pictures I have with her eyes open because she’s generally either going 100mph or asleep! She’s had a little snooze on my bed which is nice - it took her a few minutes to warm back up to me but she was soon back to her normal self. I found out about a special app for cats to play with, they’re supposed to pat a moving cartoon dot thing on the screen to catch it but she just sits there staring at it absolutely fascinated! We love cats :) nice to be back.

Toad likes to watch my phone when I'm playing games on it. He has tried to "help" a few times by tapping the screen but mainly just watches.

Try putting cat videos from YouTube on your laptop/tablet/TV for Velvet and see what she thinks. Toad's favourites are the cartoon fish and the mice, although videos of birds are Fred's favourite.

Velvet often watches TV with us and so far has enjoyed The Traitors and, this evening, a performance of Mozart’s Requiem. She thinks police procedurals are extremely dull. I hadn’t thought of cat videos! There are a few other cats on our street but no encounters have been witnessed, I wonder what she would do…

Youtube cat videos should come with warnings.
We don't play them after both Sybil and Lenny tried to attack the TV screen, and Doris (belonging to FWK) got 'spooked' by what was on so wouldn't go back in the living room for a couple of weeks 🙀
