Clear wee and he's attempted to eat my fruit and been for a drink from the water feature Smile

Aw, such a lovely face! Glad he's getting better.
Whenever you mention the water feature, Rebel, I have a mental image of something like this in your living room

Supersimkin2 · 26/02/2023 11:21

A momentous weekend on the thread! Everyone’s got good news! We’ve got a new cat!!!

The Newcomers Cafta (see what I did there) goes to DS, sired by Grumpy. He has done the New Generation of the thread beyond proud. Long may he and College Cat continue posting as the thread enters a new era of hereditary posters. I’m deeply impressed with us and our historic tradition.

NewBootsAndRanty · 26/02/2023 11:28

Squidge has just pretty much destroyed her umpteenth da-bird-knockoff and is not happy. I'm getting shouted at for not providing feathery fun, and the pet shop is closed today. Gonna be a long Sunday...

TheShellBeach · 26/02/2023 11:51

Linney, peeking round the corner to try to catch Emerald out.
I suppose he didn't think we could see him. Or that she could see him.

Matt has toppled off twice today so far! You'd think he would have learned by now...
You watch that back, Allergic. Hope you have a comfy chair in Tobias's room and definitely avoid hauling furniture around.

Paws has found a new sleeping spot Hmm

Three times now (sigh).
Great to see Paws making himself at home.

Supersimkin2 · 26/02/2023 19:15

Paws is such a heart-melter. How’s Ollie Rebel

Supersimkin2 · 26/02/2023 19:16

Matt! The hottest cat ever. That’s a fantastic shot Paper.

Florissant · 26/02/2023 19:18

Matt says "Paint me like one of your French cats".

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 26/02/2023 19:23

Love the picture of Matt, but he does look just a bit too Rubenesque for that radiator.😹

That's my silk pillowcase he's on

Ollie seems ok, am keeping a close eye though and giving him the cystitis supplement

Papergirl1968 · 26/02/2023 21:10

Rubenesque - love it! I might start to describe myself as Rubenesque rather than fat!
He was desperate to get on my lap but the dog was curled up by me on the sofa. There was an uneasy truce for half an hour or so, with them an inch apart.

I'm more of a super-Rubenesque kind of shape, me

Defiantlynot41 · 26/02/2023 22:20

Such a lot of news! Rebel, I hope Ollie behaves from now on (and Paws is such a cutie), papergirl and allergic hope everything is going well. Grumpy I love the newest addition to your clan

Suffering a bit here with some post op complications but nurses 1 & 2 have been on active duty all weekend

Supersimkin2 · 26/02/2023 23:21

Ouch Defiantly, keep horizontal. Don’t overdo it. Awful for you.

It’s not Matt who got big, it’s radiators that got small. He requires a certain presence to be Magnificent.

Papergirl1968 · 27/02/2023 07:00

Thank you, Lana, he appreciates that!
What have I missed with you Defiantly while I've been obsessed with my own health? I've looked back a few pages and can't find anything. I do hope you're ok?

Defiantlynot41 · 27/02/2023 08:58

Thanks for asking Papergirl, no I didn't post beforehand because I thought it was a minor procedure, have had a slightly different version previously with zero side effects. Turns out this version was a much more involved thing and I had a (fairly common) side effect which was painful.

Pretty sure I'm on the mend now!

Allergictoironing · 27/02/2023 11:19

Quick Tobias update.

He was in his igloo on the bed yesterday evening when I went up to sit with him and stayed there all the time I was in the room, a big improvement on squeezing himself between the (divan) bed and the bedside drawers. He was still in the igloo when I fed him that evening; he'd eaten all his morning food by the time I brought supper in as well, which is good.

He was actually lying on the bed not in the igloo when I checked on him first thing, but when I took his breakfast in a bit later he fled to the hidey hole again. I'll go up with Kindle in hand and sit with him again later. Girlcat is still very curious & wanting to get in the room, but I'll wait until he feels a little safer before I let them meet!

Insured now & registered with my fantastic vets.

Papergirl1968 · 27/02/2023 13:32

Oh Defiantly, we are all with you. You look after yourself.
Great to hear Tobias is coming out of his shell a bit , Allergic. How'syour back?
Socks appears to have made a friend. Who is virtually identical to her. She's the bottom one (I think!)

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 27/02/2023 13:42

Paper - are you absolutely sure that Socks isn't just emulating Schrodinger's cat and is actually in two places at once? 🙀

OP posts:
Papergirl1968 · 27/02/2023 13:49

Possibly, Grumpy.
I even wondered if Paws was paying us a visit!
It's strange because Socks is the world's most timid, anti social cat. She creeps about like a little phantom and only slides on to my bed when the light goes off and all is quiet.

HouseofHolbein · 27/02/2023 14:10

I just wondered why Wednesday was in the garden staring at Gomez like she didn't know her. Then I spotted Gomez sitting by the window. Was very odd 🤣🤣

Wednesday suddenly hissed at notGomez so they ran away.
