It's the only catting he's done for years!

Valentine’s Day was a fiasco. Prince wouldn’t touch his smoked chicken; Havelock flew in, inhaled it and then span round for hours bunnykicking new catnip mouse.

Havelock kicked Prince in the balls and left.

When I complained to NDN she said But Prince has no balls, which I hope you’ll agree lacked a certain tendresse on the Day of Love.

Prince had double supper and we had a lovely furry cuddle later. He’s got a new sage linen throw that he likes cos makes his fur glow.

Rebellious23 · 15/02/2023 12:08

Paws has randomly decided to sleep here during the day AND wanted a tummy rub which wasn’t a trap

And you’ve still got 10
fingers! He’s a little love.

Rebellious23 · 15/02/2023 14:28

He's just left. Slept from 8-2pm flat out

Allergictoironing · 15/02/2023 17:51

When I complained to NDN she said But Prince has no balls,

Boycat did used to have very little empty ball sacks, you could definitely tell he used to be male. I'd guess the area may still be comparatively sensitive?

It would have been the intention behind the action that really mattered anyway, V impolite!

Paws arrived again at 10am Confused
Straight to bed and he's napping with Ollie

LostCats · 16/02/2023 11:24

Out on the razz all night and then safe home to mum and bed. Sounds like a teenager 😆

Lenny is tempting me with his tum this morning.

It's raining so he's wet
Tried to dry him and he grumbled at me like an angry wasp

Me, DSis & nephew no. 4 are going out on Sunday for me to be interviewed by cats!!!

Not quite sure how many exactly, but I gather there's at least 2 or 3 and maybe more that fit Girlcat's requirements for a step-sibling there.

Supersimkin2 · 17/02/2023 21:28

Get iiiiiiiiinnn Allergic! You hero, brilliant news. All paws crossed for it going well.

Allergictoironing · 17/02/2023 21:32

Going down to Rolvenden, which is where the siblings came from in the first place. They did have a couple of real sweeties on the web site, but one has already chosen a new home and the other is interviewing a slave tomorrow. Apparently they had a big intake from a multi-cat household...

TheShellBeach · 17/02/2023 21:36

Yay!

Supersimkin2 · 18/02/2023 09:33

Good vibes for today Allergic. Those Kent cuddlers are most fortunate.

Havelock’s kicked over a tin of black gloss paint. I have white floors. 🐾 Never was an emoticon more accurate.

🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾🐾 🐾 🐾🐾 🐾 🐾

Here’s a brain teaser for all cat experts: where do the painted prints lead?

a) the sunbathing chaise
b) Prince’s food bowl
c) the dreamies cupboard
d) all three then back to NDN

Kitty’s First Pawprint artwork for lucky winner.

Allergictoironing · 18/02/2023 10:06

Option D is my guess, though maybe not in that order. I think the food ones would come first, probably the easy access food bowl followed by the Dreamies cupboard. NDN's last, definitely.

The question arises, why did you have an open tin of black gloss paint?

It's tomorrow I'm going Lana. DSis is coming as my common sense, as I can't be trusted with loads of cats around not to pick either a) the neediest or b) the cuddliest, whether suitable for Girlcat or not. Also, she will be the one to stop me if I try to settle for the best option there even if it isn't really right, and make me wait for the right one. Nephew No. 4 has been invited as we reckon his brain is part cat anyway - he was the first person other than me that Girlcat let touch her, and just about the only male that Boycat could cope with being in the room without fleeing in panic.

I think it is starting to get urgent. Girlcat was in a right sulk last night, instead of charging down the stairs the second I walked into the house, she stayed on her favorite upstairs bed of the bottom of the wardrobe - I ended up going upstairs to check on her after an hour as I was worried. Then when I went to bed, I could hear her wandering about the house squeaking - they used to do zoomies chasing each other up & down the stairs just after lights out.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/02/2023 10:25

I rather assumed option D too, but Allergic beat me to it.
Good luck tomorrow Allergic. When we went to see a previous generation of kittens (the mob before Basil and Sybil), we took a friend along to help us pick two and to apply common sense.

When Mrs Grumpy and I couldn't decide which two to take, our friend helpfully told us to take three instead.
We did 🤣

Allergictoironing · 18/02/2023 11:16

That's partly why DSis is coming - to stop me taking more than one home! Wouldn't be fair on Girlcat, and I could see them pairing up and excluding her which would defeat the main purpose of getting another.

TheShellBeach · 18/02/2023 11:27

Allergic, I would be the same, and come home with a large number of cats.
That would be despite going out for ONE cat only.
I can never choose between them.
Even after we got out last two from CPL I kept going back to their website and saying to myself "Maybe I should get those cats as well. And those. And that one."

YesItsMeIDontCare · 18/02/2023 11:31

Blinkers Allergic, you need proper blinkers.

When I went for Leroy I went with my head down and my hands cupped round my eyes 'til we got to his pen. I wasn't risking it.

Allergictoironing · 18/02/2023 12:21

Trouble is, none of the ones who will be interviewing me are on the web site (the 2 that were in spec have gone). So I will be getting introduced to a number to see which suits best - sort of speed dating. So can't be THAT blinkered, though I will get DSis to cover my eyes when we go past any bonded pairs!

Supersimkin2 · 18/02/2023 12:46

The tin was shut. With metal fixings - one of those you need a Special Incantation and a rare screwdriver to open. Me neither.

I think we should all treat ourselves to a big bag of kittens.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 18/02/2023 16:04

So I will be getting introduced to a number to see which suits best - oh blimey Allergic, best of British and all that 🙈

Did you manage to get the paint off Havelock Super? I remember having to use Swarfega(sp?) to get paint off a cat once. My dad had to help, we had to wash him(the cat) in the bath, he(the cat) was running round the bath "wall of death" style... 😱 It was over 20years ago and my dad still twitches nervously if you mention it. So do I
