That's a bit like how Emerald lost a bit of her tail last week. She always stands just outside the bathroom door (and it isn't very well-lit just there) and I unfortunately caught her tail in the door jamb when I was coming out. I felt so guilty.

She was very upset (not surprisingly) and the vet told me to give her a painkiller (which I did) but she wouldn't come near me for about two hours. Not even for Dreamies.

She's fine now but I was heartbroken.

I was making a cup of tea and stepped back onto his paw. He sits literally on my heels so if I move even an inch, he gets trodden on

I trod on Prince yesterday- sympathies to all trampled kitties and their more downtrodden slaves 😺

The yowling was past belief. It haunts me still, even though I only momentarily pressed a paw a bit hard.

New toy for the boys

I used to have one of those for the demons. I gave it to a friend for her kitten when mine got bored of it, and I think she passed it on too. Bloody noisy things when the cats get going with the ball!

Got one of those for my pair. I think Girlcat swatted at a ball once, then they just ignored it. Went with other stuff I donated to a local shelter.

We have one. I bring it out in summer. Eko LOVES it!

Saving electricity here with low lighting; Just tried to put these on.

Zara is a modelle, as ever. Meanwhile Bibi's stomach fur is out of control. She grows a long plushy coat in the winter. Zara does not, being half Abyssinian, and I've been known to have the heating on just for her. I know. BUT, she's my feline soulmate, she's 12, and she's got a plate in one ankle which was put in after a dislocation. It healed perfectly, she can sprint, jump and climb, but the plate is colder than bone and the surgeon told me she might feel it in the winter. It was actually supposed to be temporary, until the bone fused, but it doesn't bother her and I'm not putting a 12 year old through unneccessary surgery, so its still in there.

Same here. Girlcat though short haired has a thick plushy coat that feels like 2 inch thick silky velvet. Boycat however has always had a sleeker (again short haired) coat that feels more like satin to stroke. And with his illness his coat is a bit shorter & thinner, he's over grooming a bit, and of course getting very skinny.

He's definitely feeling the cold, so the heating stays on later in the morning, comes on earlier in the evening, and the electric blanket goes on twice during the day as well as just before bed time as that's their choice of sleeping spot when I'm not home.

I can’t get an inch of the electric blanket. Little Prince loves it.

DSis kindly bought us a king size to fit my bed. They would have to both stretch out and occupy different ends of the bed to keep me out of it. Plus Girlcat won't share the bed with me, and Boycat only does for a looong cuddle at night then he goes downstairs, and for a slightly shorter one first thing.

Sybil has taken ownership of a strangely appropriate bag. It's also ideal for surprise attacks on any other passing cats 😹.
