Rest definitely sounds wise. With a lot of kitty cuddles 😊

LostCats · 17/01/2023 11:42

Allergic, how is Boycat doing?

Supersimkin2 · 17/01/2023 13:59

You must be knackered Paper - rest up, love. Bet it’s nice to be home with The Magnificent Matt. Snuggle down and don’t move for 48 hours. Time for serious telly and tea.

iloveeverykindofcat · 17/01/2023 17:30

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats Yikes, let's hope it doesn't come to that! It's no worse, anyway, and the scab looks to be healing. I'll keep an eye to make sure it doesn't get any bigger. I know its the size of my smallest fingerprint, for reference.

Allergic, how is Boycat doing?

Thank you for asking LostCats.

Not too bad, he's just chased his sister up & down stairs so still has some energy, though sleeping even more than he used to. Thinner, coat seems thinner too, but still eating a bit which is good. In a huff with me because Work, which means either I'm out all day or I'm in but not paying him attention all the time - he's taken to waiting for me watching out of the window in the evening.

Back end is definitely getting weaker though with him sometimes finding it hard to jump up on things that used to be easy. And the worst aspect of that from my PoV is that his anal sphincter seems to not always clamp shut after pooing leaving a small nugget still attached. If I see him I can follow him with kitchen roll & take it off myself, but twice now I've found it where it's finally got detached - once on my bed! 😱 Luckily MOST of the time it's OK.

Just replied to an email from lovely vet, and said I doubt I'll be seeing her in the next week at least.

Just sending you both lots of good wishes Allergic & Papergirl1968.

LostCats · 18/01/2023 08:46

Thinking of you and Boycat and sending you hugs and purrs and best wishes.

Papergirl1968 · 19/01/2023 19:23

I spoke to neurosurgeon today and he says I need the tumour out. The operation is scheduled for 21st Feb unless they get a slot any earlier.

Allergictoironing · 19/01/2023 19:29

Ooh good luck @Papergirl1968 , Assuming it goes OK, it could be life changing for you!

nettie434 · 19/01/2023 19:43

Glad you will not have to wait too long papergirl1968. As Allergic says, it could be lifechanging.

Supersimkin2 · 19/01/2023 23:32

That’s such good news. And only a month to wait - or panic 😊but you’ll feel so much better afterwards. Phew.

LostCats · 20/01/2023 08:51

That’s amazing Paper! And not long to wait at all! Best best wishes (and purrs!)

Supersimkin2 · 20/01/2023 09:02

Electric blanket face.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/01/2023 09:03

Great news that you don't have to wait too long Paper. Best wishes from me and the mogs too.

All the best, Papergirl. I imagine the news is both good and bad and that the wait is stressful though Flowers

TheShellBeach · 20/01/2023 13:50

I hope it all goes well, Papergirl.

Papergirl1968 · 20/01/2023 20:47

Thanks everyone ❤

Papergirl1968 · 21/01/2023 13:32

Matt enjoying a mouse sent by a dear friend. I couldn't attach a pic by PM but she will see this. Thank you x

Matt! He’s loving it! He’s such a handsome fellow.

iloveeverykindofcat · 21/01/2023 17:25

Love it when they use their paws like little monkey hands 😆.

The weird lump Zara got at her vaccine site is definitely no bigger and might actually be starting to go down, so hopefully its just a little local immune response. The girls are currently in a cold war with an extremely beautiful but rather aggressive British blue shorthair that lives across the street. He hates me and gives me absolute death glares whenever I dare to come in his sight. Even if he's in my window. Or occasionally, inside my home.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 21/01/2023 20:19

Oooh Paper that's fab news! Having seizures is absolutely no joke and can have such a massive affect on your life. Mine are well controlled but I still have to be aware of the possibility all the time. I'm glad you're getting it sorted now. (((hugs)))

Glad Zara's lump is going down without v.e.t. intervention ilove

Ear rubs and butt scritches to all felines (including TC if you're brave enough Grumpy) 🥰

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/01/2023 08:22

DS2 has sent me a photo of his college's cat.
College cat is not allowed in the library.
No prizes for guessing the location 😹.

College cat clearly cares not one bit for the rules 😁

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/01/2023 09:28

Nor is the person who opened the door.

Supersimkin2 · 22/01/2023 11:29

Double First in Battle Studies to College Cat.
