We were out of space so I thought I'd do the honours

@YesItsMeIDontCare
As you predicted FWK's kittens didn't go mad for Molly' mice, they were actually very wary of them. We have taken them (the mice) back to our cats who will appreciate them properly.

PeloFondo · 13/09/2022 08:57

PAAAWWWWWWWSSSSS!!!

I am so relieved 🥰

PeloFondo · 13/09/2022 09:06

He wouldn't come in using the bench, wouldn't come for me shaking dreamies. Very wary, so I think he's done his usual feral over summer thing
I flung myself outside clutching treats and yelling PAW PAWS while Ollie did a WTF face

YetAnotherSpartacus · 13/09/2022 09:27

That's wonderful news. I was thinking the worst, to be honest. I am so glad that he's back :)

Ollie looks a bit miffed.

PeloFondo · 13/09/2022 09:28

Ollie has sniffed him all over, pulled a face and gone back to bed

Supersimkin2 · 13/09/2022 10:29

Thank God for that - you must be drenched with relief.

I wasn’t thinking the worst AT ALL cos Paws is a winner at life. But like you I did suspect he may have been catnapped by his so-called owners and taken to Orkney or Wales or sim.

Tiny Cedric! The toe beans!

NDN returned to find Havelock and Prince sunbathing and drooling on catnip mice together on the rug. A charming picture of domestic harmony.

Defiantlynot41 · 13/09/2022 11:28

What a lovely, cheering set of photos - Paws, kittens, Walter & Puddy.

Brought a smile to my face

LostCats · 13/09/2022 11:32

Paws!!! So glad he’s back!!!

Papergirl1968 · 13/09/2022 11:54

Welcome back, Paws!
That's a relief.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/09/2022 14:37

Paws looks in good condition.

Found Puddy on the worktop this morning. For a cat who makes a performance of jumping up on the bed she can make the worktop with no noise at all.

PeloFondo · 13/09/2022 14:42

For good condition, you mean fat Grin
I flung myself out the door, tripped over Ollie and grabbed the treats. Paws not interested and has vanished again "busy, cat stuff to do. See, I'm alive"

nettie434 · 13/09/2022 18:52

Hurray about Paws! I wish I could be graceful like a cat. If I jumped onto a work surface like Puddy I would knock everything over.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/09/2022 19:58

Can't help feeling that at the moment Sybil is looking slightly, er, how do I put this? Wide? 🙀

Ollie, Prince, Leroy, Walter and Co...
Fluffycloudland77 · 13/09/2022 20:09

It’s her winter coat. Mines doing the same to me.

Supersimkin2 · 13/09/2022 21:30

Sybil’s exquisite. So is Puddy.

You’re SO TIDY Fluffy.

Prince is starting to fill out nicely. Bless his little heart.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/09/2022 21:44

Prince is also preparing for winter.

The up-ended mattress adds a touch of class doesn’t it?

PeloFondo · 13/09/2022 21:44

Ollie is on plan B to get rid of stinky paw paws by the look on his face

I love this thread, you know. After a shitty day, it makes me smile. Especially the photos.

Love the picture of Puddy on the table. '
Very relaxed and obviously thinking 'It's my table and I don't give a tinker's cuss what anyone else thinks'

YetAnotherSpartacus · 14/09/2022 08:48

Her regal beauty really shines in that picture.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/09/2022 12:58

Its her dowager duchess energy. She is quite a happy little cat as long as she gets her sliced of cooked meat every night and she doesn’t seem to mind it’s now sandwich meat in a square. Cost of living crisis 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sometimes she plays. Sometimes the ribbon is definitely trying to kill her so she runs for her life. You never know what’s going to happen.

Supersimkin2 · 14/09/2022 17:48

The mattress is not alight, Fluffy. For the keen eyed social observers among us, you stylishly illustrate the imperceptible difference between classy and The Great Unwashed.

Talking of mattresses, mine is 9 months old and knackered already. I think it was habitat if anyone wants to avoid them. What mattress do I get? Can I get away with anything pitifully cheap eg topper? Im
quite happy to set fire to this one if necessary.

Allergictoironing · 14/09/2022 17:58

Last mattress I bought cost me around £700 (eek!), but it's lasted me 8 years so far & still going strong. I need a really decent one because a) my bad back and b) the cats like something decent to sleep on during the day
