We were out of space so I thought I'd do the honours

Twenty Molly's Mice have turned up this morning.
Basil was attacking the packaging before I opened it. Very happy cats today 😁.
I'm visiting FWK this evening bearing gifts. I will report back.

Very generous! Four each!

Only one each at present. Do you think I'm bonkers? 😹
The rest are going into an airtight (possibly padlocked?) box for future use/gifts.
As an aside TC is a complete failure here - I gave him a Molly's mouse for Christmas a few years ago. He wasn't interested. Clearly not a proper cat!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 12/09/2022 11:23

I did notice that the bargain mice are all now sold. The power of Mumsnet is truly remarkable.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/09/2022 11:57

The power of Mumsnet is truly remarkable.

Solely responsible for depleting world catnip supplies.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 12/09/2022 12:28

Cats under the age of ~12 months don't react to catnip. There's a weird cat fact for you 😁

Supersimkin2 · 12/09/2022 13:03

Someone put a wholesale mouse order in.

Oh Grumpy do try one on TC again. It’s not the living flesh he likes to feast on but he might enjoy it a bit on one of his photo sessions for the fans.

The management company have destroyed the tree in my garden
Ollie is as horrified as I am

I may have a package with 80 in... not quite sure what I was thinking 🤣🤣

YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/09/2022 13:27

Goodness!!! WHY?

Um. Nope, no idea
The management company didn't tell me they were coming. And no reason for lopping off just half the tree except it was interfering with the balcony

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 12/09/2022 13:51

I thought 20 was slightly excessive 😹.
I do look forward to the photograph of 3 completely stoned cats in hats, sprawled on a pile of 80 stuffed mice.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 12/09/2022 13:57

@PeloFondo
That's disgraceful, it's more tree butchery than tree surgery.

HouseofHolbein · 12/09/2022 14:00

I just kept adding a few more in 🤣🤣 might have overdone it

PeloFondo · 12/09/2022 15:41

Management company denying all knowledge. Apparently some random people just appeared off the street, claimed to be contracted by the management company and hacked the tree with no payment expected from me

Ok then Hmm they are obviously contracted by the management company

Supersimkin2 · 12/09/2022 17:08

Almost certainly unlawful Pelo. Council Tues am.

PeloFondo · 12/09/2022 17:39

They've now said they've done it because upstairs complained about the tree
But they only have to cut hack half of it back as the other half doesn't affect residents
I asked if we could only pay half the management fees then as it's half a job. Surprising lack of response at that Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/09/2022 18:02

Puddy has a box. It’s not just any box it’s an M&S box a relative very kindly sent me a gift in but she leaps into it like a kitten and curls up for hours.

Dh suggested I put a blankie in it but I don’t want to ruin it for her. She doesn’t even come up for dreamies now but I’m very well trained so I take them to her every night.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 12/09/2022 18:11

Nooooo Fluffy!!! No blankie!!! I spent about 6 months ruining Leroy's life by putting blankies in boxes he seemed to love and he'd stop using them.

I finally cottoned on and he has 6 boxes in the house at his disposal, none of which contain anything soft, all of which he loves.

I doubt he's forgiven my mistakes of his formative years, but he doesn't show it very often.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/09/2022 18:41

Don’t worry, it’s going to be a blankie free zone. When it eventually collapses im going to have to order something off marks and Spencer’s again aren’t i?

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/09/2022 20:27

She’s happy on the inside……

He can give up anytime he wants too.

Supersimkin2 · 12/09/2022 21:27

Walter shows us how it’s done 😁

Everyone’s got an inner Puddy. Mine’s unleashed when my last fag goes missing.
