Mrs Grumpy currently has two cats. I have no cats. The world is unjust

DH and I visited my parents' kittens last night. The kittens are completely trusting. DH sat down on the floor and became a kitten climbing frame immediately. They sniffed him all over, played on him, had a wrestling match on his shoes and one of them was obsessed with his armpits! DH is not a pongy man for the record. The kitten climbed into him and stuffed his nose into DH's armpit and purred loudly while kneading him.

We're minding them for a weekend soon and DH will be a kitten magnet.

I sent some Molly's Mice to 3 cats I know. They were very well received. I first read about them in a post of ToddlerTeaPlease's. She needs a CBE for services to feline happiness.

Aah, but is it the good stuff @Supersimkin2 ? Still mourning the lack of a proper Culpepper replacement for catnip toys. Mollys Mice are very good though, DCat2 who is still not herself has been playing with hers this afternoon, after a gold star from the vet as she has put on weight and is almost 3kg now

Ooh! I highly recommend Freak Meowt from Notonthehighstreet. We’ve been getting catnip toys from this company for years now and I must say it’s high grade stuff. Boone’s Christmas pudding is still going 9 months in! It has had to go into an old school sock of DS as it has had the life kicked out of it.

Havelock hid here while we both had cuddle and bed. He emerged at 3am, ate everything, and triggered a minor cardiac event in us both by smashing his considerable girth out through the bedroom window.

Poor little Prince very rattled, window useless, me staying awake as spooked.

I'm awake too super and just had my first ever mouse delivery from this pair . No card with it but I suspect Malteser DGirlCat (Bug is a bit lazy).

Ahhhh Culpeper's mice (disappears in cloud of stoned cat nostalgia).
They were the best, but Molly's mice are the closest we've found (from a tip here by Toddler I think).
Does anyone have a recommendation for valerian cat toys - thought I'd try mine on those too?

Lana was it the thunderstorms setting Havelock off? They were bad enough down here that Boycat went into his old "panic, hide & don't come out for hours" mode, first time in about 5 years. He didn't even join Girlcat for "half an hour after lights out" zoomies!

My girl cat tries to catch the lightning which probably tells you all you need to know about her.

Mind you, she hides from visitors whereas boy cat flirts shamelessly. I think that in his mind human=food delivery.
