He is very happy with the new one. Boone is cross as it’s HIS place to sleep. Not Eko’s.

I’m starting decorating early cos getting a Santa hat on Prince will take at least three weeks.

Sybil looks beautiful. I bought one of those fluffy doughnut beds and after initial disdain, both girls have agreed it is acceptable!

We'll be putting our tree up at the weekend. I can offer a picture of a cat tree decorated with a fluffy tail.

Must be by now - Woolworth's finest, and still working last year 👍

I don't even do xmas and even I'm so sad that we gave away my parents' old filament lights when we packed up their house :(

We had some really great tree light when I was young, they would often have a sort of fully enclosed see through coloured casing round them. The Cinderella glass coach ones, the Chinese Lantern ones, the fibre optic filament ones looking like puff balls, the strange modernist geometric shape ones, the multi point 3D star ones, snowflake ones. Santa ones were considered tacky we didn't have them, or cutesy cherubs or choirboys.

Back then you would only get about 25-30 lights max in a set, so we would mix & match often with plain lights (coloured of course) or ones with a simple back shade. We would also often put "Angel Hair" aka XMas floss teased out over the plain ones to get the swirly reflective look.

No tree these days, never dared since getting cats - Boycat would probably be terrified!
