We were out of space so I thought I'd do the honours

Obviously if you can get there, but definitely a good idea. Our fabulous local hospital wait time has gone from sub 3hrs to 7+ recently. I feel so bad for the nurses and drs. They’re completely run ragged.

Supersimkin2 · 25/11/2022 14:35

Go with Grandpaw, love. Leave full bowl
etc.

The most glamorous woman I know ended up in a and e recently, doubled up and bawling. That took a lot cos she runs her own firm, is its face of Insta etc, but she was rolling round the floor. Diagnosis: constipation. Can you imagine the cringe - apparently stuff got stuck and snowballed, frequent with very busy people(who knew). She said the relief was worth the shame 😺

Take a book, socks, pants and sweets. Look at the Pallas cats on Instagram.

I have my phone with charger and headphones
Working today so I'm going to go first thing tomorrow otherwise it's after football and that's never a good time
I reckon 6-7am before shift changeover

Supersimkin2 · 25/11/2022 15:08

Smart thinking.

LostCats · 25/11/2022 16:53

Very good idea. Most won’t have woken up yet so should be quiet. Plus the chaos from the night before should have passed by then.

Supersimkin2 · 26/11/2022 10:16

how you feeling Princess? Hope Ollie coped with early breakfast.

PeloFondo · 26/11/2022 10:49

I actually feel about 50% better so I'm holding off to see how I go today

Papergirl1968 · 26/11/2022 11:29

Glad you're feeling better.

Supersimkin2 · 26/11/2022 16:34

Yay. I’ve just manned the local clothes swap - gave away one garment, pair of shoes etc every 90 seconds for five hours.

Everyone thinks it’s crap cos it’s free. Until they catch sight of the Whistles blazer in their size. I’ve tottered off with two North face gilets for me and my mate. Prince and Havelock sitting on them purring.

nettie434 · 26/11/2022 18:45

Hope you carry on feeling better pelofondo. I wonder if you will ever get to wear that gilet, supersimkin2, or if it will remain a posh cushion for Havelock and Prince.

LostCats · 27/11/2022 09:50

How are you doing this morning Pelo?

PeloFondo · 27/11/2022 11:05

Still better but not 100%, so I'll take that! Paws has come to check the food provider is still alive

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 27/11/2022 11:19

Glad you're on the mend Pelo.

LostCats · 27/11/2022 11:30

Boone says thank you so much for the heating mat recommendation!!

Supersimkin2 · 27/11/2022 14:48

Boone! So soft and warm!!

I’ve got two damp cats indignantly sitting in front of a dark telly. Just put on The Crown. Peace restored.

LostCats · 27/11/2022 15:14

Poor Boone. The arthritis is so bad now he’s walking sideways as the back legs not so good. He is in absolute heaven on that warm bed. Said to DH we probably won’t see him much now he’s discovered his upgraded bed!

Supersimkin2 · 27/11/2022 17:30

I bet he’s loving every toasty moment. Arthritis supplements work like a dream ime - Mr C got quite frisky when they started to work with his metacam.

RumNotRun · 27/11/2022 22:04

Toad and Vixen have been arguing all weekend over a box. As soon as one moves out of it, the other jumps in. At times, one of them has been asleep sat upright with their front paws in the box, so I have now had to find another one and put it side by side with the original box. Of course, there are a million other boxes, cat beds, human beds, sofas etc, but only a box in this exact location is acceptable tonight. 🙄

Peak catting! I love it!

Allergictoironing · 28/11/2022 10:42

Well that wasn't a great vet visit for Boycat 😟

Good news is that his blood pressure is great, and that he's actually put a couple of hundred grams ON.

Bad news is that his creatinine levels are through the roof, and he's definitely stage 4 kidney failure. Obviously each cat is different, and the way he's responding well to the diet change plus eating/drinking/using the litter tray well is quite positive. But basically when I suggested 3-9 months max according to my reading, the vet agreed 😭😭😭

RumNotRun · 28/11/2022 11:23

So sorry to hear that news.x

LostCats · 28/11/2022 12:13

Oh Allergic I’m so very very sorry

Defiantlynot41 · 28/11/2022 12:56

So sorry, Allergic x

YetAnotherSpartacus · 28/11/2022 12:56

I’m so sorry Allergic.

TheLongRider · 28/11/2022 14:05

I'm so sorry Allergic. I'm sure you'll look after him and spoil him rotten for the next few months. Love to you and Girlcat.
