We were out of space so I thought I'd do the honours

So sorry about your mom's loss @YesItsMeIDontCare 💕

Papergirl1968 · 23/11/2022 11:05

Me too, yes. I love to think they will be waiting for us when our time comes.

LostCats · 23/11/2022 16:33

Sincerest condolences for your Mum yes.
They really leave a hole when they’re gone don’t they.
When my dad died everyone said that he’d gone to see Grantie (his absolutely beloved bulldog). And all the cats who loved him so much.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/11/2022 19:17

Has anyone noticed dreamies causing stomach upsets? I think Puddys intolerant to them now.

Ive had to buy her chews instead.

LostCats · 23/11/2022 19:47

Sadly we have that Fluffy. Boone can’t eat them as he gets a very bad tummy. We use the Dentalife ones now.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 23/11/2022 19:48

Mine are only intolerant when they don't get enough Dreamies 🤣.
Never noticed any stomach problems resulting from a sufeit of lampreys Dreamies.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 23/11/2022 19:49

Or even a surfeit

RumNotRun · 23/11/2022 22:16

Good crossover of threads there @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats 😁

Supersimkin2 · 24/11/2022 07:57

The trots ime re excess Dreamies, not that there is such a thing as excess Dreamies.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 24/11/2022 08:31

Lenny (the hopeless cat) doesn't like Dreamies. Says it all really.

Supersimkin2 · 24/11/2022 20:03

Lenny has a connoisseur’s delicate palate. Maybe wagu or a nice salmon fillet would work.

Our local GP surgery has been named and shamed as third worst in UK for refusing to see patients. You can say that again - DF spent a month in hospital last time they gave my plea The Finger.

Brilliant social services rang the surgery up screaming but it was too late by then.

Supersimkin2 · 24/11/2022 20:10

One per cent of patients got a phone appointment. They told DM to go private for a bog standard ear infection and gave her the number of a surgeon who charged her £3k. The spray she needed costs £8.45.

DM has dementia and a chequebook. What about everyone else with neither?

Allergictoironing · 24/11/2022 20:15

No fear of excess Dreamies in this house - been ordered to minimise Boycat's intake 'cause kidneys, and Girlcat is "thriving" on the renal food (i.e. become a bit of a fatty) so I've put her on minimal Dreamies rations. Can't put her on a diet, as they share food and I have to encourage Boycat to eat so it needs to be down 24/7.

Plus when I do a Webbox stick, because (again) Boycat is on minimal treats he gets 1/4 and Girlcat gets the rest.

At least the car passed it's MoT today, with the only problem being a bulb that they replaced 😀

RumNotRun · 24/11/2022 21:37

The tribe all love Dreamies but I either have to channel the pigeon lady from Mary Poppins and liberally scatter them, or carefully give each cat exactly the same number but then the first one to be given them tries to steal the allocation for the last cats. I need eight hands, one to portion out the Dreamies and the other 7 so all the cats get their treats at the same time.

PEZ dispenser?

PeloFondo · 24/11/2022 23:27

Ollie isn't a dreamies fan. Paws tries to steal the entire bag Grin

Currently suffering with some weird kidney and ovary pain. GP won't refer for a scan as "wait too long". Suggested painkillers and crossed fingers and a&e if I can't cope
I can't, so I'm going early Saturday morning

Supersimkin2 · 24/11/2022 23:45

Oh babe - ow. It might be an ovarian cyst - agony, harmless. Or a kidney stone, same. Is it flipping torture?

PeloFondo · 24/11/2022 23:47

Cramping, griping pain. I would like it to go away now! Also look like a blimp, doctor commented I was very swollen around my stomach which I think was polite code for "you look like a teletubby"

Allergictoironing · 25/11/2022 08:36

Ow ow ow!

You don't have the best of luck with your health do you Pelo - make me look healthy! At least you should have some very decent painkillers about the house from previous problems. Have you got any Buscopan? That might help, along with a heat pack.

Supersimkin2 · 25/11/2022 09:56

I’m saying cyst cos they’re not uncommon and deeply unpleasant. You poor thing.

TheLongRider · 25/11/2022 10:03

I had an ovarian cyst a few years ago. I swelled up like a zeppelin and it was excruciating. The fecker was trying to twist itself around my ovary. They removed it by keyhole surgery. I hope Ollie has a good minder.

PeloFondo · 25/11/2022 10:09

I'm not a very good patient so not planning to stay in Grin but grandpaw is easily trained by Ollie
Paws on the other hand...

Supersimkin2 · 25/11/2022 10:17

A&E will be empty now cos football but full
tomo cos hangovers. Maybe Grandpaw could swing you down there - my mate had one and I don’t know what they did but it was an A&E job & it worked.

PeloFondo · 25/11/2022 10:28

He has offered but I pointed out he needs to be on standby for cat duties Grin

LostCats · 25/11/2022 12:21

Actually yes, go to a&e now Pelo.
I have too much experience of the place and that’s a very good shout about it being full tomorrow because of the football.
