This made me think of some of the cats on here

Grumpy’s got 4.5 cats.

Rotisserie chicken on double yellow sticker - the universe smiles again. Prince has partaken with mash and extra gravy and bitten me cos stuck inside.

He got out and made towards psycho’s place. I got him back, he slipped his collar, I carried him to protests.

Home is scented with chicken and antibiotic creams, he’s purring.

Supersimkin2 · 20/11/2022 00:03

All bodily functions appear in rude health. Dyou think he looks ok.

Defiantlynot41 · 20/11/2022 00:08

He looks good but they are so good at hiding pain. Keep going with the rotisserie chicken, a massive favourite of every cat we've ever had

YesItsMeIDontCare · 20/11/2022 01:31

He does look fine, but get him checked out for internal injuries on Monday.

And give him a li'l cuddle from me 🥰

TheLongRider · 20/11/2022 10:34

I'm so sorry to hear of Prince's ordeal. I hope both of you recover your equilibrium soon.

Allergictoironing · 20/11/2022 16:09

Bit of a minor disaster chez Allergic today - kettle decided to die on me! 😱. I do have an emergency travel kettle that's over 30 years old, makes about 1 mug of tea, and takes forever to boil.

That's OK I thought - I have Amazon Prime where I can get a free same day Morrisons order if I spend a certain amount, so kettle plus a top up shop. Order arrives 2 hours later, unwrapped kettle to try it out & the fecking switch won't work! So that will have to go back to Morrisons later this week when I get a chance to go out, meanwhile a different kettle has been ordered via Prime for delivery tomorrow. Meanwhile, forever wait for the travel kettle to boil for a cuppa. Cats have very wisely decided that they will stay upstairs out of my way,

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/11/2022 16:23

Asbo fell off the conservatory onto concrete & I took him in but he was ok. Next week fell out a tree 🙄

Supersimkin2 · 20/11/2022 17:05

White goods are a curse to us all. I nurse a particular grudge against kettles cos they don’t last no matter what you spend. Use the microwave for tea.

Competitive Appliance Breakage Round 1: get this Allergic - washing machine blew up yesterday and this am I noticed all the leak had gone into… the hoover drum. Goes without saying hoover’s new.

The hoover still works! Hammer taken to washing machine, no joy.

I bet if a deity of white goods rules over us it looks like Liz Truss. The mantra would be ‘One day, see/Out of guarantee’

Allergictoironing · 20/11/2022 17:51

No way would I be competitive with you over disasters this weekend. I did notice the washing machine comment amidst the Prince drama. Still, at least with the leak into the hoover you've had your 3.

My previous kettle was a vaire posh one bought by my DSis as an XMas pressie many years ago, at least about 6-8 years. The one before that was ASDA own brand, that lasted a good 4-5 years. I hadn't realised until I dragged it out of the cupboard just how ancient the emergency one was though. Tea is a critical part of my day, so I think when I can afford it I will purchase a new spare.

One plus point though. Went on the Amazon web site & asked for a refund for the dead new kettle, and gone straight through & they said I don't need to return the damaged goods 😌.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/11/2022 18:39

I kill espresso machines. Should’ve stuck to a French press but I needed no fuss double espresso shot milky coffee everyday.

Supersimkin2 · 20/11/2022 19:39

That’s meet and right Fluffy. Get another one on Black Friday? you need it first thing. I haven’t managed to break my nespresso yet, they’re lovely and tough. I’ve even got little sachets of chocolate powder in an old box of Ferrero Rocher, we’ve gone full Ambassador’s Reception here.

Turns out those Costa sachets are value hot chocolate mix.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/11/2022 20:46

Current one is a recon off Ao eBay site and I have a moka on standby for emergencies.

Would not surprise me about Costa.

Supersimkin2 · 20/11/2022 21:50

Refurb’s the smart move, always. Im hoping for a robovac for Crimbles, with some cosmetic damage like me.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 21/11/2022 16:01

Did you take Prince to see the vet Super? How is he? What's the verdict on his paws, are his claws likely to grow back?

Supersimkin2 · 21/11/2022 16:02

Vet not got free appt yet! Im
on waiting list.

Claws look ok.

PeloFondo · 22/11/2022 08:49

Paws is here

Ollie, Prince, Leroy, Walter and Co...
TheLongRider · 22/11/2022 08:50

Paws looks as if he has bulked up for the winter.

PeloFondo · 22/11/2022 11:10

He generously accepted a head rub today before diving into the catnip toys

YesItsMeIDontCare · 22/11/2022 21:28

Mum had to say goodbye to her old boy today 😢

She's gonna get mobbed at Rainbow Bridge... 🌈

Defiantlynot41 · 22/11/2022 23:02

@YesItsMeIDontCare what a lovely, poignant thought. So sorry for your Mum.

Hadn't thought of it that way, but when I lost my Mum in the summer, she must have been mobbed ar the rainbow bridge too, as she was a veteran rescuer of cats, from the string of moggies of my childhood to the random selection of ex-breeding Persians who were all as daft as brushes in their individual ways (sorry Toddler), a random British blue and a Maine coon/NFC type who was her last cat and broke her heart when he died suddenly

All were spoilt to bits and lavished with love

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/11/2022 23:25

There’s actually near death experiences documented where people meet their deceased pets.

Supersimkin2 · 23/11/2022 08:24

That’s what I’m after. Must make note to be cremated with bumper pack of Dreamies.

So sorry for yr Mum Yes. It’s the pits. I’ve got Capn round my neck and it helps. He helps, rather, a lot.

Havelock’s just come in claiming a bad attack of damp tail. Been dried with the tea towel I know I will forget about and use later. He purred.

Prince going for full check up next week- vet not overly concerned - how superb is that.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 23/11/2022 08:40

Make note to be cremated with bumper pack of Dreamies.
🤣

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 23/11/2022 08:42

And Yes, very sorry to hear about your mum's cat.
