We were out of space so I thought I'd do the honours

@Allergictoironing
Hope you've never mentioned TC's behaviour to your delicate pets. They'd never recover from their moral outrage 🤣.

Allergictoironing · 15/11/2022 08:06

I don't think they'd be outraged as such, just feel pity because they are so morally superior - think more the Edwardian Lady of the manor looking down her nose at the shenanigans of the tweenie and the under-gardener, not really their fault they were brought up badly.

Then again, I can attribute that sort of feeling to Queen Girlcat, who rules the household like Lady Downton. I don't think poor Boycat has the brains to work out that his claws can be used as weapons bless him.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 15/11/2022 10:47

If you've never read the short story Tobermory by Saki I'd recommend it. I suspect Girlcat would approve 😁.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 16/11/2022 05:54

I had to leave the house at the crack of sparrow fart this morning. Greeted downstairs by this. How can they all be hungry at 5.00? Normally they are curled up asleep at this time.

Allergictoironing · 16/11/2022 08:21

I would guess hopeful rather than actually hungry. They understand that on a "normal" morning you get up at whatever time and by the time you come down it will be breakfast time. Therefore you coming down in the morning = breakfast.

Mine will be the same. Any change in routine & they get all hopeful for extra treats and/or fusses.

TheLongRider · 16/11/2022 08:42

My cats do the same thing to me if I appear in the kitchen at ungodly o'clock.

JoanOgden · 16/11/2022 09:21

Yes, they will have heard the faint creak of your bed and leapt into position.

That's a brilliant photo, especially Basil looking like a cross owl with a fluffy tail.

Supersimkin2 · 16/11/2022 17:56

Thrilled at thought of bonus brekker from
Mrs G at the normal hour.

PeloFondo · 16/11/2022 18:12

Every time I so much as glance at the kitchen, ollie is up like "food? FOOD?!"
I swear he thinks I starve him

Supersimkin2 · 16/11/2022 23:34

Havelock’s broken in twice and hoovered all the Dreamies. He showed off to Prince.

‘Then I found the shepherd’s pie cooling on the side.’

Good Morning Mr Paws!

He’s bought you a favour in the manner of a medieval knight.

PeloFondo · 17/11/2022 09:37

Can't help but love the little guy!Grin

PeloFondo · 17/11/2022 20:13

Ollie is going in the post to someone
It's poured down all day today and he's done nothing but go out, come in, scream he's wet, and go back out. He just won't settle Confused
I've let him back out again now as he was giving me a headache. Wonder if he's found something interesting?!

Papergirl1968 · 17/11/2022 21:41

Fancy a swap with Matt? He randomly attacked Socks in the night, which is not unusual, and this evening he hissed at me when I went to move him off the sofa so I could watch TV!

YesItsMeIDontCare · 17/11/2022 23:38

Went to work and got this off Leroy. Are they all being little shits today?

Supersimkin2 · 17/11/2022 23:46

No! That’s hideous for you Yes. OWW. And a hissing Matt!!

Havelock punched Prince in the kisser this morning, they’ve happyslapped with tails too. Poor little Prince was very restrained and didn’t hit back.

I put it down to seasonal changes in the air. Ruffles the fur.

PeloFondo · 17/11/2022 23:47

Ow!
Ollie is STILL shouting. I'm at a loss now Confused
I've been to check on him and he's sat in his teepee with his toof out, shouting away Hmm

It's Friday - he's slowly building up to getting you worried enough to take him to the vet, but not showing anything REALLY worrying until Sat pm to maximise the bill.

Papergirl1968 · 18/11/2022 08:55

I was bitten and scratched by Matt too last night, just to round off the day. That's the last time I go to help the vicious brute when he gets his claw stuck in the duvet!

Papergirl1968 · 18/11/2022 08:58

The culprit and the war wound.

@Allergictoironing AngryGrin
He's trotted off outside now. Something is interesting out there as he keeps yelling to go out
