We were out of space so I thought I'd do the honours

Can’t wait 😀 Prince is horrified cos Havelock’s overslept and missed morning patrol. He’s looking over the fence trying to will him awake.

Where's TC? I've been missing him!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 12/11/2022 12:33

Well he was having a noisy argument outside with Karl about 10 minures ago 🤣.
These are from a few days ago. TC trying to pretend that neither Karl, nor Basil were guarding the door.

And earlier today he ran up to me to say hello (before going past to try and get to our front door).

Look at that look of determination on TC's face!

Sorry things are so full on Coastergirl. Hope they improve soon.

Supersimkin2 · 12/11/2022 23:11

He’s just magnificent.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/11/2022 09:27

They've obviously found a rats' nest. 2 delivered in the last week
But why do they have to have their (large) prey just outside the door, exactly where the unsuspecting (guest 😫) will tread on leaving the house?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/11/2022 09:29

Fortunately our guest also has four cats so is used to this kind of thing.

Allergictoironing · 13/11/2022 09:51

They are just being good hosts to your guests, offering them the very best food.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 13/11/2022 10:01

Every time I see a picture of TC I am reminded of all those news stories about escaped big cats ...

Supersimkin2 · 13/11/2022 10:21

Allergic’s dead right - the cats have ordered in the very finest delicacies and presented them, deliveroo style, at the doorstep.

Ready prepared for supper that night.

Or was it a gift ordered online by TC? His caring side seems a little hidden sometimes but it’s there - he’s shy, probably, that’s why there’s no card.

TheLongRider · 13/11/2022 10:51

Here's a photo of Kimmie our new girl foster kitten. She loves to play and is perfectly happy with the boy cats.

He looks particularly menacing in those pictures. Like a feline gangster.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 13/11/2022 11:28

Oh! Kimmie is gorgeous!

Supersimkin2 · 13/11/2022 15:06

Kimmie is just lovely. What a bright eye.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/11/2022 15:28

Kimmie is an absolutely sweetie. Always had a soft spot for black and white moggies. 😁

RumNotRun · 13/11/2022 20:25

The post count seems particularly suitable for a thread featuring TC exploits

I have a sore cheek because Ollie kicked me in the face Hmm
Someone didn't want his claws clipping and whacked me

Supersimkin2 · 14/11/2022 17:24

So brave of you to even try.

Havelock’s will need doing again shortly (now). It’s a question of all the humans involved scraping up the courage to approach the beginning of consultation with him about it.

PeloFondo · 14/11/2022 17:27

I got most of them done, before he bunny kicked me for my efforts
Such gratitude

Supersimkin2 · 14/11/2022 18:57

Prince bites me daily. It’s not as bad as it was but it does remind you that violence is ‘better understood as an act of communication’.

PeloFondo · 14/11/2022 19:22

He's skulking around shouting ma ma at me so I think he feels guilty

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 14/11/2022 19:37

Basil is very bitey. But he's very cute and purrs like an engine when he's doing it so we encourage it let him off. He normally does it in the morning to encourage us to feed him.

Same here with Leroy but he's not fussed about the time of day.

You can get space helmets for bitey cats.

Allergictoironing · 14/11/2022 21:12

Both of mine are horrified at all this talk of biting humans - it isn't polite. Same with scratching, very bad manners. Just because they were born the wrong side of the tracks (feral colony in a woods) they don't see that as any reason not to behave properly.

In 6.5 years the only scratch I had was in the early days when I picked Boycat up & he panicked, so he pushed off a bit hard & caught me with his back claws by mistake. Closest thing to a bite was when I didn't realise that I'd dropped a Dreamie right next to my leg & he caught a teeny little bit of skin as he picked it up (no marks at all from that).
