Baked beans for tea tonight. Ollie is sat drooling over my plate with huge bog eyes ready to pounce weirdo

OP posts:
Weezol · 10/11/2018 20:51

Does he experience any, erm, adverse effects after consuming bean sauce?

Ollivander84 · 10/11/2018 20:54

None whatsoever. He's stolen some crumpet today with cheese spread but baked bean sauce is his favourite 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Anyone know where Lana is? Just realised I haven't seen her for a few days, & she's normally very active here.....

YetAnotherSpartacus · 11/11/2018 09:12

Did she say she had some family stuff to attend to a page or so back? I hope all is well Lana!

cozietoesie · 11/11/2018 14:17

She did. (With us in spirit, though.) 🙂

Ollivander84 · 11/11/2018 21:38

O is having a mad moment. He's stolen one of my hair bobbles (the ones that look like a telephone cooled wire) and is running round with it in his mouth. Like a dog 🤷🏽‍♀️

Girlcat has been known to do that with large rubber bands (postman type ones). Goes through phases of that being her favorite toy.

Ollivander84 · 12/11/2018 09:07

Yeah he loved it! Was pinging them about and chasing them. His face when I took it off him 😭 huge bog eyes at me

OP posts:
Allergictoironing · 12/11/2018 10:07

Does he do the flinging it up in the air then catching it thing? Girlcat gets very distressed when she does that & it falls behind the cushions on the sofa, I have to retrieve the damned thing.

Ollivander84 · 12/11/2018 10:15

Oh yes, it got thrown everywhere. I removed it when he started chewing and sucking it 😂

Ollie says hi and can he have a new mama with LOTS of these fun hair bobbles?

After a pleasant day experimenting with the control of the heated throw, which Mr C has learned to operate himself, as above, he has declared me surplus to requirements.

He's nabbed all the sofa, not just the usual 85 per cent.

O how is your firework damage? Is it all sorted now? Grim for you.

Ollivander84 · 13/11/2018 23:04

Sadly not. I can't afford the excess so it will likely be in January or so

OP posts:
LanaorAna2 · 13/11/2018 23:30

Oh that's awful, what a sickener. Can you put over a super-cheap rug from Dunelm and patch paint the wall? No one notices repairs, and it will be a cheerup at least.

Ollivander84 · 13/11/2018 23:49

I've managed to hide most of it with some crafty furniture rearranging! Ollie is trotting round the house with a hair bobble in his mouth after some potato with baked beans. Standard weird

OP posts:
LanaorAna2 · 13/11/2018 23:53

:) He is interior styling enough.

What about some decals for the walls? I used them to patch up the worst bits of the flat before I redid the whole place - worked a treat. You can make your own - what about some Olli decals?

Ollivander84 · 13/11/2018 23:58

Unfortunately it's wallpaper but my neighbour has an idea for removing the soot so is going to give it a go!
I've used decals on the hallway and really love it

Oh, and if the cops catch the little bastards who did it, you will get compensation as there is a police repayment scheme for property damage.

Mind you, I wouldn't hold your breath, they need to get a conviction which will take forever if it happens at all.

You know there was a horrific murder on my doorstep? The feds have triumphed and caught the children who did it. Awful.

I am glad to say, although most of the residents were moaning madly about forking out for cctv in my block when it was installed a few weeks ago, the new hall camera caught the murderer on film. No one's complaining now.

The memorials and shrines are still burning away in the rain, flowers all soggy. You can't look for more than a few seconds without just turning away. Sorry, that's a really depressing update. :) but it does make you realise how precious and manifold all our blessings are.

My furry blessing is demanding I scratch his ear. He is standing itching it weakly with a half-hearted back leg. Coincidentally, next to the sealed Dreamie tin. Night, all.

LanaorAna2 · 14/11/2018 00:21

Sugar soap for soot. Poundland. Then throw away the sponge and cloths.
