Insured to the hilt! I have contents and buildings :)

I'm appalled at that - SO dangerous. Such a willfully ignorant and criminal thing to do. The rocket could have landed anywhere or a child could have picked it up or someone in the house could have been on oxygen therapy or it could have caused a fire (I note it was near electrics) or anything. Fucking idiots.

I am glad that you are both OK.

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2018 09:39

£350 excess :(

YetAnotherSpartacus · 07/11/2018 09:43

Bastards.

I'm so sorry Ollivander. That's a lot of money :(

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/11/2018 10:07

Ouch. Little cunts.

It’s about time we banned public sale of fireworks.

Papergirl1968 · 07/11/2018 11:25

Bloody hell, Ollivander.
Poor you and poor Ollie. Some people are fucking idiots.

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2018 11:49

Ollie was awesome. He ran out the room with me and put himself out the way on the spare bed. Came back to look at the damage with me, practically tutted and then asked for food

Weezol · 07/11/2018 11:53

Urgh, horrible bastards. I try not to wish ill on others but sometimes...

Is Ollie secretly a bit of an 'ard cat?

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2018 11:59

He was completely not bothered by it which really surprised me

OP posts:
Weezol · 07/11/2018 12:11

Maybe he knows Mama will protect him.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 07/11/2018 12:28

Ollie is amazingly brave and awesome and you are too Ollivander, but the sheer fucking criminal stupidity of what happened to you (and how the consequences could have been far worse) is still plaguing me.

Papergirl1968 · 07/11/2018 12:45

Thank goodness you both got out of the room safely. Otherwise it doesn’t bear thinking about.

Papergirl1968 · 07/11/2018 12:45

I mean the alternative doesn’t bear thinking about...

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2018 12:55

If a single spark had gone near him, my rage wouldn't have been restrained!
After I ran to my neighbour the first things I said was "Ollie! My glasses were on the table! Get Ollie"
He went in to check the place wasn't burning down and reported back to say Ollie had tucked himself up on the spare bed for a doze weirdo

I can safely say that if Ollie had been hurt or scared, those responsible would face the combined wrath of Mumsnetters!

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2018 20:52

Ollie afterwards looking very not stressed

Hmm, sure Ollie isn't going to check your phone for photos of Another Cat? Grin

cozietoesie · 09/11/2018 15:16

Especially a 'bruiser' like Blue. 🙂

Weezol · 09/11/2018 16:10

You do know that if Ollie starts a thread in 'Relationships' about this we'll all be giving it LTB (and come and live with meee), right?

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/11/2018 17:17

Why is everyone else’s Bengal sociable except mine?
